Joining in April has been pure cancer. At least I got into Gold in summer of 2016 during its ATH so I can have steady losses there too.

Too lazy to do the math but I think so. I saved over $30k on interest that I would've paid on my student loans (paid off with crypto gains). And the personal loan is only 7% interest.

Honest question; why the shit don’t you guys cash out after making a huge profit like that? Enjoy some regular fiat and jump back in for the next big thing?

Why didn't the guys who made 5x their money cash out when BTC went from $1 to $5?

In 2017, you would have missed out on a ton of money doing that. Even if your portfolio dropped 50%, it wasn't unlikely to rebound 4x if you held for another month.

So when the crashing started, a lot of people felt they already went through the worst of it, and selling would be selling the bottom. Crashes also happen very quickly, "up in an escalator, down in an elevator." So it's difficult to react fast enough, especially when your used to euphoria and hodling.

Don't make the mistake most people do and assume it's just greed, it's mostly the result of poor strategy. Especially not cutting losses quickly.

They're tying to press into the separation between their leg and ass to make it look more shapely. However in cases like this fat pig it just looks like she's digging into her blubber.

initial: $2.5k
ATH: $3.2 million
now: $150k

got in early 2013 buying @ $30/BTC. Been in shitcoins ever since

What you in right now?

That, my dear user, is a motherfucking ride!
Genuine question, what will you differently for the next run?

was heavy in BTC for awhile here but recently got back into BAT with all the hype around it.

Moved in pretty big when the coinbase news was announced ~0.000051 and sold Wednesday morning before the announcement at 0.000057 -- just bought in again around the rumors of this "80 million user website" hype.

Always goes back to buy the rumors sell the news

Also holding some ADA and XLM in anticipation for one of them being next on coinbase. Leaning more towards XLM. Also mining ETH.

probably not much - I've rode so many different shitcoin waves from the bottom to the top back down to the bottom again -- you'd think I'd get better at it but nah I always leave mad profits on the table.

I've been able to cash out a decent chunk. Not a million yet but a solid 6 figures. Anytime I hit it big with a shitcoin I make sure to cash out $30-50k to keep my cash flow going and well... I've been doing this for a few years now. So if it ain't broke - don't fix it. :)

>buy at 1
>sell at 5
>buy back in at 3

they were retards i guess

You won’t be lucky two times sir. You had your time and your lost it

yup that's what everyone told me back in 2013 as well... all my friends/family said I was a fool for not cashing out.

I've been doing this for almost 6 years now. I don't work otherwise. Life is good. Whether I surpass $3 million or not again isn't really a concern. As long as I can continue to play video games all day while I trade shitcoins and smoke pot meanwhile making ~$100-200k on the year (depending on how the trading goes) I'm not going to complain.

Shit in my fucking mouth

> doing this for 6 years
> implies can make 100k/yr

>50k takeout on 10k invested

Checked Fren - may you make it again! Hopefully 2020 will see us good

I don't think we'll have to wait that long. Once this btc drama is over and either someone wins there or xrp comes through for the new reserve in amidst all the bullshit then we can get the show on the road again. I'm confident i'll exceed the ATH again by an order of magnitude even.

Did everyone in here seriously fucking HODL?

Initial: 1.7k (all I had left to live on at the time)
ATH: 2.4 mil
Now: 2.4 mil

Fun fact: the VAST majority of this was made AFTER the peak

I now trade futures and print money.

Every morning I wake up and think about the one day I fucked up everything. It was the 17th of November when Bcash went interstellar. I knew it was going to moon so I went on Bitifinex for the first time and started margin trading. I had 7 ETH and went long, made some profits. Got fucking gooked by a flurry of shorts and shorted, then It reversed and instead of doing the smart thing of closing it I thought there's no way this can keep going up.. and I got margin called. I left with 3 ETH. I was extremely tired and sick at the time which did not help in judgement. From there I was so depressed and pissed off at what i had done I didn't start trading again until February. I then realised the epic fucking bull run I had missed out on and I could have turned $1800 into $15-18, and if I hadn't of fucked up I could of been sitting on anywhere around $300-500k, sitting on a beach in puerto rico the tax haven. What depresses me even more is knowing that I attempted to get a personal loan but couldn't get one due to unemployment. I didn't get a student loan because university denied me entry saying I failed 2nd year, then they mail me my results months later telling me I had actually passed but it's too late in the year to join. Also I told my dad to get in on the ENG ico and he then asks me in February if it's still worth it. Could have been a millionaire. But now I have to go to work and be a wageslave when I could have earned 20 years wages in 2 months, it all feels so fucking futile and pointless. I am a broken man. I know this is a defeatist attitude and it stops me from making it, but I just can't seem to take this one on the chin. I have tried putting this to bed and making my peace with it but I just can't. It's all so tiring biz.

>only 7% interest.

nice pasta buttlarp, kek
wait till next bull run on Dec 2024, kek

why would you go on the internet and just tell lies?

How the fuck did you "lose" 95% of your portfolio while being relatively early on BTC?
You'd at least have learned some of the basic stuff like don't hold shitcoins forever in these 5 years.

Anyways, mine:
Initial: $3k
ATH: $150K
Current: $33k

Nice

To be fair I'm lumping together all the gains I've made from that initial 1.7k, which for the most part came from the NQ1 and ES1... if you just count crypto gains only, I only made 25k from the bull run.

I really started snowballing money shorting from 17k on Bitmex

how much is snowblossom now?
how much was it back then in august?

they hide their C E L L U L I T I S

> initial 18k

You're looking at this the wrong way. You NEVER would have done what you think you would have done. Trust me. I started with $3K and had $40K in the middle of the bull-run and fucked up many, many times. Still made money, but don't let "what-if's" get to you. There is a VERY high chance your PERSONAL LOAN would all have been lost too. FFS don't ever use a loan for this shit, even if you think it's a sure bet.

Joined in early 2014 btw.
What I would do different next bull run:
Just buy the plainest vanilla coins instead some exotic bullshit that may or may not get noticed by stupid fags who enter late. I was so far ahead of the curve that it was completely unnecessary to venture into shitcoins instead of just normal Altcoins like ETH, LTC, XMR etc.

Why not buy yourself a nice watch with that fiat money, retard?

Initial 35k
ATH 140k

we all were either too green or too greedy to know we needed to cash out

Is that before or after you payed your taxes?

I was over 330k and now 22k. On 2 trades I sold before XRP and ADA went mental last year. The regret kills me too. Honestly I wonder if this whole thing has been worth it. I can’t look at life the same anymore.

I bought in in September and October 2017, but didn't have much money because I'm a unifag. Rode it out, made $1000 then cashed out at the actual ath of BTC, but only because of luck and not strategy. I've bought back in over time now, mostly holding LINK
