Don't you guys realize that splits will keep happening? BTC split into BTC and BCH; BCH will soon split into BCHABC and BCHSV. Soon those will split too, maybe BTC splits again.
0xBitcoin has an immutable smart contract. A split is nearly impossible and pointless, since all consensus rules are determined by Ethereum protocols. 0xBTC will continue to be the deflationary mined currency that everyone seems to want, without any of the nonsense drama. As long as Ethereum continues to work and scale (as is expected), then 0xBTC will continue to be the most useful, most decentralized, and most secure Bitcoin.

Why not? The 0x represents that it's on Ethereum and the Bitcoin represents that it follows the mining and scarcity parameters of Bitcoin as laid out in the whitepaper
