I have some experience in this field. Sounds like you have the skills on the technical side but you are missing some key components like business and marketing experience. If you don't have big experience in those fields it's ok but you will need those people on your team before you can have any major success.
I suggest first making a proof of concept of basic gameplay without programming the gaming engine. Make videos of how it would work first, get validation it's something people would love to play. Go on gaming forums and unity/blender forums and post the video, some screen caps, and a write-up of how it's going to play.
Try to recruit others to join you on the technical side, figure out your weak spots and be prepared to give up a sizeable amount of ownership to the people who help you.
Then build a proof of concept of the gameplay. Present back to the same communities for feedback. Nail the gameplay and continue building. Once done your going to need 2 main guys, marketing and biz development. It won't be cheap but those hires will connect you to publishers that can take this to the next level.

Sure lots of resources out there. If you have the will to start a business and see it through you can do it as long as you have a decent amount of charisma.
It can take like 10-20 years before you hit your payday if you are starting with nothing. Know that, understand that, shit is real AF I promise. Lots of rough years being broke, not just at the beginning either. If your going to start a business you have to be driven or it will fail. The majority fail, even with millions in funding.
