who's excited for election day? Jihan was fired from bitmain, but they have a literal caravan of 90,000 asics rolling through Mongolia trying to find mining facilities who can take on more asics. I don't think they can mine at a loss for very long though

it can be changed by virtually press of a button

I didn't, but okay.
We'll see on the 15th, and the days following.
Sustained hash wins the war.

A very expensive button to push. For profit miners won't press it.

Ask Hillary about polls.

Button is actually profitable to push when you consider there's a derivatives market 10x the size of spot. Easy to trap dumb money by signalling hash power for one chain and switching to the other at the last possible moment.

>hashrape.png
someone should make a hentai about two lolis called ABC and BCH and BCH is a total bitch-domina who force herself upon ABC

Attached: cough em up.jpg (625x886, 125K)

What is this shitcoin? Is it like LINK? These 2 guys look like fags.

Here's your polls. Hashrate is the actual votes.
The last possible moment is at t = infinity. Sustained hash wins the war. If hash isn't sustained, reorgs steal back all revenue, and open up double spends by anyone on exchanges running the minority chain.
Most hashpower isn't under direct control by Jihan. He can't force pools to move.
Yes

I think people just don't understand.
Purely profit seeking miners switch back and forth based on fluctuations, instantaneous profitability. They get their block rewards after 100 blocks have passed, not instantly. If they switch to a chain that is under attack, their block rewards can be stolen from them in a reorg. They have to keep their hashrate on the minority chain to ensure they get their profit, except if they're still mining after 100 blocks, then they need to keep mining for 100 more blocks to ensure their most recent rewards. The have to keep sustained hash to ensure their profits, or else face a reorg.
They are going to stay the fuck away from this hashwar if they aren't stupid.

>missed my point entirely and falls back to repeating NPC talking point of >muh protracted warfare
Oh dear. You guys in for a world of hurt. Don't say you weren't warned !!

That, or just mine on the side that is signalling they have the majority. Self fulfilling prophecy in that scenario. My personal take is they will avoid all risk of reorg, on either side.

cash.coin.dance/blocks

damn, 36% more profitable to mine on BTC

i hadn't thought about it but the more hashpower nChain have on BCH the more they get for every Hz because they are driving other miners off the chain

Wait what, was your point user, I see only one post by your id.

SV futures are literally crashing as we speak

Looks more like a healthy retracing from +80% in a day

And ABC is pumping. Up 30% in the past couple of hours. Note: bitmex has already backed ABC.

Attached: Screenshot_20181114-151228.png (2160x3840, 643K)

You guys understand that a hashwar where ABC is the minority literally makes it unusable right? If there is any confusion, ask. I think there is a huge lack of understanding on this by a lot of people.

I'mAnd My ID changes alot due to posting from phone + vpn.

But consider: hashrate before actual fork, public feuds are all theater. Designed to do what, exactly? is what you should ask

>hashwar winner was known 5 days before the fork
>bch shorts are at ATH
>people are fomoing in SV futures

guess what happens next?

why this shit isn't pumping?

Vote for Craig

Theater is not costly to maintain. It is deliberately much less costly than the thing it is portraying.
Hashrate is the thing. All the anti CSW, Aussie Man Bad virtue signalling is the theater.
People can speculate. I'm waiting for the outcome. No one is declaring themselves the winner, just one side saying "we're ready" and the other side saying "no that's cheating"

This. I find it really strange that Jihan and Roger have done pretty much nothing this whole time. It makes me really suspicious. I learned long ago to take nothing at face value in crypto.

Idk if the Mongolian antminer caravan rumor is true, that sounds kind of wack, but why do we have news of Jihan's role change from director to supervisor of Bitmain happen literally 48 hours before the fork? Why the massive fudding of SV by pretty much all crypto news outlets and then the big hash rally in favor of SV? Easy explanation is that SV is going to win and people are just waking up, but I feel we would have had ABC captulation by now if that were the case.

If ABC changes algos, or whips out an ace card and somehow gets adequate hash to challenge SV, it would shrek the futures holders.

Attached: hrsjstyt.gif (400x290, 1.31M)

Aren't longs also ATH, brb gonna check the spread.

>Theater is not costly to maintain.
>It is currently... 36.20% more profitable to mine on the Bitcoin (BTC) chain.

Then there was that other user a day or two ago who said Craig was acting pissed about the Poloniex futures market because that would shift the blame for a price crash on Poloniex rigging the market, instead of him.

Exactly. It's not theater.

or MAYBE someone is trying to make a lot of people people buy MySQL records at poloniex for 174 dollars more than the real price?

what happens next is that the 15:th comes along and the mega SV stress test starts. also called Satoshi's Shotgun. it will knock many ABC nodes offline who's hardware and internet connection simply can't handle the volume.

all SV needs to do then is to start hashing empty blocks, not much hashpower needed to gain majority now after most other nodes are offline. then the ABC chain becomes completely frozen, no transactions will confirm for several days. who knows how long the shotgun keeps firing?

Attached: art10.jpg (3000x2119, 828K)

i heard the exact same things about segwit back in 2017 fren

Yes. When profit potential from futures outstrips loss from mining on wrong chain, there is definitely cost benefit analysis involved.

Bitmain, ver, etc all did this before with new york agreement and segwit2x. The hashrate favored that fork too beforehand. Now they are running this gambit for second time and with CSW and ayre to play the villain in order to lure dupes attracted to personality cult in order to bilk

I just want all bcash and it's derivatives to die and that money to move into Bitcoin where it belongs.

Literally no one is going to use bcash for anything. ETF will be on Bitcoin only.

>it will knock many ABC nodes offline who's hardware and internet connection simply can't handle the volume.
Is this a joke? His master plan is to prove that big blocks fucknup decentralisation?

Coingeek alone has put 10s of millions of dollars into mining hardware. They aren't the only ones mining at a relative loss. BCHSV trade volume is under 2 million dollars. Numbers don't support your hypothesis. Not even close.
Not to mention that no one could predict that exchanges would support futures trading, turns out only 1 does and only a week before the "split". Not to mention that the SV camp is so far very against splitting coins as it introduces risk if people don't understand what they're doing(which seems to be most people so far).
Your idea is a fine idea, but the facts don't back it up at all.
The satoshi shotgun will be overkill. Unneeded, but entertaining.

difference is the time is right now, they weren't ready yet. this thing has taken years of preparation, even before BCH existed.

Attached: command and conquer tiberian dawn.jpg (1680x1050, 788K)

More like, why isn't it dumping? If SV was going to win for sure, surely it would dump? Seems like people are still holding onto the ABC vision.

you don't understand. SV will gladly accept those transactions and make those big blocks. that it's possible. after a few years BCH will get more and more decentralized, just like BTC was in the beginning.

Attached: landscape.jpg (1500x944, 555K)

>Coingeek alone has put 10s of millions of dollars into mining hardware
And bitmain?

if you just hold you get bch regardless of which chain dies. no reason to sell.

Attached: woman2.png (1920x1080, 665K)

Is this a one pager? Cant find any source

Again, all theater then. No sunk cost to say you'll do something. This time there is clear sunk cost.
If miners understood their role back then, it would have happened. Too many thought like the uninformed in this thread.
If your client cant handle big blocks, you get another client that can. Client != protocol.
Bitmain makes a profit selling miners, running pools, and mining the most profitable chain to mine on. They are successful at running pools because they mine what is profitable. The moment they try to steer instantaneous profit seekers towards something unprofitable, they lose those miners.

Don't confuse their pools with their own hardware.

CSW is literally trump though, everyone thinks the asshole will lose.

lol

>Don't confuse their pools with their own hardware.
Very naive. They are not going to let CSW control and centralize a coin which they hold 1 billion dollars worth. They are going to protect their investment at all costs and can sustain much longer. CSW doesnt have nearly the hardware to compete.

bitmain isn't doing shit now with their IPO. Not that they would have anyway. They showed how chickenshit they were last year backing down against segwit. They're probably just hoping this shit ends already since they have so much BCH in their bags.

You think CTOR and DSV are that important that they are willing to get into a fight that could lose them major money?

>could lose them major money
Conceding the chain to SV would put their BCH holdings at the mercy of CSW who says he has no qualms about blacklisting addresses for political reasons. Bitmain is not going to piss away that kind of money when they know they could easily bitchslap him with hashrate.

They'll need a lot of funds outside of BCH if they want a sustained hashwar. If they dump BCH to fund it, they kill their own mining revenue. They're actually in a lot of a pickle if you think every scenario through. I wonder how investors feel about the costs he would incur with such a move. He does have a business to run, afterall.
Stark contrast on the SV side. You have 2 billionaires who see much higher longterm value in what they're doing now, and no one breathing down their neck for a profitable quarter.

This is the most important political happening of the century.
Everything led up to this, and everything will come from this.
It is the singularity and the distillation of all of previous human history and simultaneously the big-bang that will shape and give life to the next stage of human civilization.

This is EVERYTHING.
This is THE THING.
NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.

Do you feel it?
The world has stood still.
Everything is on hold.
Everyone has pressed pause.

No one talks about the elephant in the room - that is crypto.
The world waits with baited breath for the outcome of the BCH hashwar.
We are on the front lines and at the precipice for the greatest event in human history.
This is for us and us alone. No one else gets it. We get it. This is for us.

Enjoy.

This afternoon was crazy and I loved watching it. That 30k lick and then auto delevering everyone was intense

hmm guuys? what happened with the node count?

i dont think so, dont have source

bitmain have underestimated their competition and got caught off guard. everybody were just assuming craig wright was all talk. i dont think bitmain are ready to defend this at all.

they vote with their raspberry pies, the most votes being the valid chain

i'm saying that SV's node count was like 5-6 times higher couple of hours ago

What the fuck happened with Jihan?

Yesterday i bought 25 BTC worth of BCHSV on HitBTC when the price was under 0.019
i fully believe CW is right and there will be a flippening and BCH will be the real bitcoin and BTC will be a shitcoin.
Bitcoin is Money

Yeah, the existence of another larger SHA256 chain makes the dynamics of the hash war more interesting.
You're the one who has no clue what is going on. Per , Craig is seizing an opportunity to get as much out of his hashpower as possible in terms of total hashpower dominance. Doing so requires that he ramp up gradually.

This entire kerfuffle has been very enlightening, if for no other reason than it has revealed who actually is and is not a competent thinker in this space.
I'll have what he is having. Hyperbolic, sure but I know that feel, fren

Attached: STIFF.jpg (543x500, 99K)

An thought on whether this will be a quick affair after the 15th, or if we'll be seeing a protracted hash war? I ask because I just want to all in on BCH, but if it dumps after the fork I'd rather avoid that possibility.

You'll probably make it.

It's actually not hyperbolic.
Everything hinges upon this.

>supporting a faggot lefty like CSW who wants to ban bitcoin addresses that are used to buy drugs
No thanks, statist cucks need helicopter rides

Attached: 34.jpg (940x627, 121K)

I've been thinking that everything CSW says is a lie designed to weed out the idiots.

Bitcoin Cash is the political ARK that will safeguard the future civilization bearers against the flood of the destruction of the old order (the new world order).
NOTHING can happen until it is secured.

Enjoy your centralized shitcoin cuck faggot, CSW will not hesitate to cooperate with (((them))) if they don't likw your use of a cryptocurrency.

That's certainly possible.
What's your alternative?

Not giving power to a centralized organization like nChain.

Good luck using crypto to donate to a right wing organization when CSW has already announced his intentions to cooperate with authorities on blacklisting """illegal""" and """immoral""" activities. He wants to make sure you have his permission and full permission of (((them))) before sending a bitcoin transaction

Imagine being this stupid and thinking that CSW is King of BCH, or even BCHSV.
Also

Sorry but this is bullshit. You are twisting Craig's opposition to building categorically illegal shit into the protocol into some statist censorship crusade and that just ain't so.

Alright,
so let's brainstorm on the idea that nChain is a honeypot.
That CSW is a government shill designed to hijack crypto from the inside and control it.

It's certainly possible based what he's said.
And what nChain is doing.

What's the strategy then?
If they really control the majority hash ABC can only survive by changing their POW algo.
Even then they will be attacked.

Do you think POW is dead?

He's already openly stated he wants to make Bitcoin "permissioned" and move away from "permissionless"

I.e. you don't have permission to use the network if you say something mean against gods chosen people :^)

Attached: Oh no that sucks.jpg (1071x1095, 268K)

Well he is Jewish, idk what you expected?

>categorically illegal shit
Illegal in which jurisdictions? Do you think there should be power to blacklist an address if the owner does something illegal like engage in hate speech? Remember that nChain is a European company.

>okay wirh banning free speech
>not a leftist
Pick one

Sounds good so your money is on Jihan Wu then?
China is based.

Jihan wu can't block my transaction if he doesn't like my political opinions and seems to have no interest in doing so, unlike CSW who openly advocates for such.

I will pick the profit-oriented apolitical chink over the leftist nanny state cuck CSW anyday.

Bchsv will be bitcoin by the time etf is finalised. This will be the powerplay of our generation. You've all been waiting for it.... there it is.

You guys ever wonder if the hashwar is just more of the same republican/democrat false choice bullshit where both sides are working together to fuck you over?

That actually sounds pretty based desu.
So how do we kill SV?

Bitmain will likely do it anyways since like another user mentioned, giving nchain and CSW control of the chain would fuck over their BCH holdings.

What if the real satoshi was killed and replaced by government shills in order to shut down bitcoin from within?

I don't trust Bitmain either
If they were really against SV then why aren't they doing more
?

I'd take your position too if I were an actual crypto user and sees a bright future for the tech. However like most of the animals here on Jow Forums, I'm only interested with betting on the side that will generate me more permissioned and centralized fiat.

SV is currently overmining BCH. When hardforc hapens, it will be more profitable to mine ABC chain. However, SV promised to attack ABC, preventing miners from getting rewards. But if adequate has moved from Bitmain, couldn't it counter SV? It would be more profitable to mine ABC (theoretically, I think the assumption goes off of futures price). Someone lay in on this.

Attached: 1541799379670.gif (342x192, 1.98M)

Yes, ABC could be more profitable to mine, luring immediate profit miners to it. The problem is it needs to remain more profitable to mine. As soon as BTC is more profitable to mine and they switch away, it can be reorg'd by an attacker. In order to protect their revenue, they need to continue mining it even when it is less profitable to do so, which in turn creates more revenue that they need to continue to protect while unprofitable to do so. That's why I think the immediate profit miners will not risk it. They either risk a reorg, or risk being trapped mining. Imo this is too much risk to incur for them, and they'll stay out until a winner emerges.

Wow
You anons are so mentally weak
I just ask a few tough questions and everyone vanishes

See you on the 15th.

Makes sense. What about Jihan, I know that guy has deep pockets, could he have something up his sleeve? I personally doubt it, but it's been quiet lately, it makes me wonder.

How do you know he's Jewish?

Phrenology

>Phrenology

Attached: 1536400379986.jpg (550x335, 29K)

the concept of anything being categorically illegal is inherently statist

Thanks for the confirmation.

Could be. My bet would be the price manipulation route. It's impossible to say though.
I've heard rumblings about a burst of hash for ABC followed by a declaration of victory, followed by reorg by CSW as the large hash moves on, and that that is declared as an attack. Not sure how effective that is, just seems like more theater to me. As long as the sustained hash stays with SV, enough that they can reorg ABC once in awhile, it will be enough incentive to kill any mining interest on ABC.
There's also chance of a PoW change on the ABC side. That would be interesting.

not buying it. he's homosexual, not jewish. he's a stereotypical broken family fag: oppressive father figure that eventually abandons him crystallizes into obsessive attention-whoring and pathological lying
jews do not express their mental illness in the same way. CSW exhibits typical anglo "mad at daddy forever" behavior
