Why not? 110k isn't bad, but I hear they make the greenhorns do all the shitty shifts like weekend nights and holidays for the first few years.

Pretty much, forced overtime on weekends and holidays. Will never get a holiday off until 10+ years on depending on where you work. Have to deal with horrible people on a daily basis. 3+ hour round trip commute so I don't have to live in the city.

Go apply to some shops/factories if you can piss clean.

At least you are halfway through the decade. After that I bet it will lighten up a lot. In the mean time you are making great money so just think about that every time it gets to you.

I know a guy making about the same that switched to being a school cop instead. He fuckin loves it now because of the short hours. Shop around maybe.

Neet atm but 8 get a scholarship of at least 30k next year for the doctorate
Hearing about how people want to kill themselves makes me happy. I would also say never become a psych, it takes too long and if you don't have the dedication it's not worth. If you get there, finding work is stupid easy, pay is great if you're fully registered (70k if you're lazy, 100-300k if you work hard and deal with legal shit). Running your own clinic is easy as shit, can give you over 600k a year with minimal effort and up front costs.

>Should I swear fealty to him?
kek

47k seems really low to me for the field. Lowest offer I heard in private was 55k right out of college.

Not really about being a technician. More about personnel management. Sometimes work 80 hours a week sometimes 20 hours. Not very fulfilling it is what you make it

>OR Nurse
>BSN
>Less than one year
>Something like 60k before taxes
If you ever want to do nursing I honestly suggest looking into if it's possible for your school to let you intern in an OR or at the very least shadow in one for a few days. Job's fucking sweet, especially if you can land a job in a daystay surgical center that doesn't operate at night. Only one patient to be responsible for at a time and you're constantly moving all day which makes the day fly by. This is a good alternative to the garbage that is floor nursing

I finally got my life on track and finished my nursing degree at 28. You can do it user

Me too. My mid 20's I was just trying to survive.

thanks for the tip!

don't understand why more anons don't go into the trades.

Where do you live?
In Oz tradie salaries are insane. If you work in mining or oil and gas you can easily out-earn a GP.

I live in Idaho. There's no way I could live in a city like most of the fags on here, plugged into the matrix, commuting, sitting at a cubicle, working for some jew corporation. lotta npc's on this board.

I work 70 hours a week and travel 270 nights a year. I get an extra $18000 tax free a year in per diem but technically that's not income so I didn't include it.
I have no social life but I'm learning a lot and in a few years I plan to open my own consultancy company.

>HVAC Engineer

It's "good" in every way that a job can be measurably good or bad, but not super exciting and it's impossible to be good at it. Also, it's where mechanical engineers go when they're not very good at engineering.

I meant BS in mechanical engineering

I'm finishing up my BAcc next year with a god awful gpa (2.5)

Should I just go straight to studying for CPA exams or hope some industry firm hires my pathetic ass

>>pharmacist

For the love of god, don't go into the medical field unless it's something you absolutely love. It's generally shit from the bottom CNA wiping asses to the top doctor raking in the big bucks.

Being on the other side I've always wondered what things are like for pharmacists. My only experience is calling up you guys because our local is nearly gone from the unit. Do you guys just get yelled at all day for low or missing meds?

Thanks to mturk I can spot datamining like a hawk

This thread is datamining. Fuck off

Yeah same, countryfag life for me.
Luckily I do FIFO (fly in fly out), live in countryside, fly to job site (usually some desert shithole, that's where all the minerals are), work for 3 weeks, fly back to country for two weeks break.

Fuck you're paranoid, I'm just tryna make a thread that isn't full of crypto faggots. It's like saying anything on Jow Forums gets you accused of being a shill.

I work retail, not hospital, but I'm actually considering taking a 30% pay cut to go that route. It would mean no more having to deal with metrics, flu shots, or poorly trained technicians.

Alright I believe you. All I'm saying is that you're asking the exact questions that corporations pay for.

If it's that fucking bad that you're willing to take that kinda cut I hope you find a good job to jump into soon

36k as a teacher? I'm making 58 K, and I started two months ago. you might consider moving.

What a coincidence. I actually am a process engineer for a company that manufactures milk processing machinery. There's a pretty good chance your process equipment is made by us.
I love walking into the lab with a few samples and some lumpy 40 year old lab manager woman starts talking to me like an idiot
>Okay now this here is a machine called the Milk-Oh-Scan. What ya do is just...
Most of you lab techs are pretty cool though. I enjoy flirting with the recent biology grad qts who get picked up.

I'm only 23 and just wrapped up uni. it's a pretty comfy gig and the money is decent if I manage to get full-time hours (I don't). I also tutor kids on the side for extra cash. I'm not sure what to do going forward. I could try and find full-time work in a years time, or otherwise go on to do a masters degree while working where I am currently thanks to the flexibility.

any corps that data mine this shithole of a board on this shithole of a site need to reevaluate their data sources. half the posts are shitposts and spam, I'm sure they don't want to hire people to pick out the maybe accurate posts to compile.

My only regret is not doing this sooner in life. I earn about $50 - $60 an hour. So I just chose how much work I want to take on.

Only thing that sucks is the back pain. It does get to me some times. My neck and low back are pretty stiff and crinkly.

summers are typically busy. winters not so much. when I work it pays well enough ($45.79/hr) but sometimes you'll go weeks without a single job. But to work here you have to live in SoCal, So I can't afford a home. Even shitty apartments are $1700-$1800 minimum. I have a wife and we're trying to have kids so she doesn't want to share a place with roommates. Now I'm looking for a new job out of state. no real luck so far though.

After a few days studying a new machine for the usual fuck ups you just sit and watch it do its thing. EZ money. Place I'm running now allows 6 hours for maintenance checks so I do it in 4 and play games for the next 1hr 30 (they get pissy if you use the whole 6 hours)

Oh shid i actually use that machine nonstop all fucking day christ. Classic ft-1.

I have to make all the blends for all the milks and shit, test samples for atp on celsis. Its alright lots of down time to read books but my actual lab is very very ghetto. Our actual processora are tetra/sordi

It's a pretty interesting job, without much paperwork. I have a few operators taking instructions from me, manage my own development projects and basically toy around with big machines.

Being a lawyer is great if (a) you like reading and writing (b) you're objectively smarter than most people you know (not just that you think you are) and (c) you can get into a top-20 school and excel there.

If not, you will definitely make more money and be happier getting an MBA.
