He is partly right, crypto is mostly shit and will never see real adoption, but that doesn't mean people will cease to speculate on it. The speculation stops when a real use case arises and gains adoption one way or another.
Pro tip: it's not going to be meme currencies used by every day people. My bet is real adoption will be something like LINK that will power backend infrastructure and nobody will even know that whatever they're using is transmitting data through a blockchain. It could be something else, like QNT that will power certain networks, but i'm almost CERTAIN that it won't be adoption through normies, but by big enterprise.
tldr: humans are greedy and will continue to speculate until adoption takes place

I remember that post where user explained this. I think the example was a visa type card. To use the benefits of blockchain but still input and output in fiat is the key you need. Just like sergey said, no company wants to deal with these child-like companies and crypto currencies, but if there was a way to use blockchain in fiat terms then theyll bite. You use that card to buy the coffee, link converts the fiat amount to whatever token value of whatever blockchain its using and before spitting back an answer it uses link again to convert back to fiat.
