Making money with poker online

Do you think it's still possible to make money online with poker? If you are skilled enough, could you still be making, let's say, 500$ a month?

depending on your roll, and competency in poker $500 is very attainable lol

Need about 4k to play 1 2 nlth

its possible again, yes. the field has become a lot less strong in the recent month. I think its mostly because stars banned huds with shared databases and all those players now have to rely on their actual skills...

you missed 2003

>making $500 a month after studying for at least multiple months, getting fucked by variance for weeks, sitting in front of a screen for 12h a day doing what bots do slightly better against deposit bonus scam victims from Brazil and Russia
No thx famalam

It's not sustainable however. Would you play chess online for money?

online poker died april 15 2011 fren

Yes

it is possible but it's not worth it

yes but the amount of grinding it takes is absurd and it is very hard to not get burnt out playing the same shit game over and over. I played on bovada and bank of america cashed checks they sent me without any questions but it was only a few thousand. I got burnt out, was only making like 5-10$/hr and when I tried to move up to the higher buy in games the players were too good. Poker is one of those games you can't get emotional about either, if you lose with say pocket aces you just have to accept it, and move on to the next hand, some dudes flip a shit and complain, but you have to realize it's all part of the game, and evaluate if you made the right move or not regardless of the results, and then you just need to play a bazillion games making good moves and you will be profitable

Uh. Fuck yes?

bro just day trade.. way easier and literally no. fucking. ceiling. to how much you can make

the actual way to make money with poker is to create an alter ego on social media where you are some rich playboy pro poker player with like 12 chicks around you so that wannabe rockstar rich dudes will fork out their trust funds or retirement plans just to hang out with a bunch of prostitutes on a boat or some shitty vegas club

Poker is since long dead. Either its bots that play perfect poker and the RNG is rigged or both.
If you're a beginner they'll let you win a bit in the beginning to reel you in but afterwards you'll find yourself in a downward spiral that never ends. Quitting poker was the best decision in my life.

this.
It's so fucking boring if you have to grind along the lower stakes.

Worst day ever. I had only been playing for a few months and had high hopes. Now i'm wagecucking.

If you can’t beat 500 NL ZOOM at 5 bb/100 or higher after a month of studying you’re a fucking brainlet

In 2005 I was pulling $1000 a month off Party Poker Texas Hold'em, literally stealing from boomers. Those days are over since they got stricter on "cheaters" and, if you won enough money, they would assume you were a bot and ban your account.

Black Friday for the online poker world. The United States Department of Justice shut down PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, and Cereus (Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker) by seizing the website domains. Many players never saw their money ever again and it effectively banned online players in the United States from playing on any mainstream sites. I can't fucking believe it's been over 7 years ago.
