Jow Forums has always hated on XRP. I bought in around this time last year after seeing the threads hardcore whining about XRP being a shit jewcoin. Jow Forums was unironically the biggest buy signal I've seen for it.
Any coin has room to grow. These coins being grouped together on cmc is just because they can. Being at the top of it doesn't mean it can't go up if it is acctually useful. It's not acctually a leader board it's just an arbitrary layout for looking at digital assets that are mostly unrelated.

My goal is 10k. I don't intend to live anything other than a modest life, so that will suffice for me. If I have the opportunity to accumulate more than 10k, I certainly will.
I can't even imagine the value of this coin in 10 years.

I just bought some. It should replace Bitcoin.
They are starting slowly in corridors where it doesn't take a lot of liquidity to be competitive with the alternatives. Think remittance into Mexico, the Philippines, Brazil, etc. Then you slowly branch out into other currencies as liquidity builds. It's a process, not something that can happen overnight. But Ripple's long term goal is to see XRP become as liquid as a G10 currency.
