Jow Forums actually thinks that buying really cheap land in the middle of a nowhere state in America and building a little humble and modest house like pic related is a bad thing.

guess greed really is a disease afterall. seething greedy fags need mental help

Enjoy shitting in a bucket in the woods with no power source and internet.

>literally so retarded hes never heard of a septic tank system, solar panels, and satellite internet

t. seething greedy fag the post

You forget Cabin fever and paranoia.

They all want girlfriends.

Just laugh at them user, it's the only thing you can do with the deluded.

If you like living in jungle why not live in Papua New Guinea?

Their jungle is more authentic than burger jungle

K faggot where on Frodo’s humble little abode do you see fucking solar panels. I get it you’re meming but pic a better picture and better targets you shitty little crum bum.

>HURR DURR you doing what you want with your money matters to me and I have something to say about it.

REDDIT AS FUCK

Sage.

>entitled millennial faggot who will never own any land detected

Just buy in a small city (2k-100k), doesnt need to be in the woods. Lots of super cheap places.

why would frodo need solar panels? hobbits dont even have electricity you sub IQ brainlet

>comment so stupid it killed the whole thread.
proud of yourself?

Except that's what I want but in Australia and after reading 4 acres and Independance, turning the land into a self sufficient self sustaining entity.

Btw did Elon actually get those solar roof tiles working and how worth it would a Tesla wall be for energy storage for renewables?

Rural Canada has so many wind mills and solar panels that my cousin Eric gets paid by the electric company because he produced more electricity then he uses.
You're fucking stupid.

>You forget Cabin fever and paranoia.
It's called travel to a bar or a strip club.

>satellite internet
how that helps me to not shit in a bucket?

This is actually my plan B, but in Russia.

Cost of land + brand new house: $20k
Cost of minimal NEET living: $6k/year

So if I can get $100k into meme ETFs and REITs with 10-20% dividend yields I should be set.

>build pic related
> government shows up next day with bulldozer because not in accordance with zoning laws

You use the solar panels to pump up well water, and then flush the waste into a septic tank. This is a solved problem.

As a side note, satellite internet is set to get a fuck ton better in a few years, once Ol'Musky gets his Starlink system launched. Starlink plans to put the satellites in LEO, giving them massively less latency than current GEO internet satellites (think 25-50ms vs 500+ ms right now) and with over 11,000 satellites planned for launch, the bandwidth will be much better.

>t.clueless retard

>Not just living in a tent

Never gonna make it

Attached: smugpu.jpg (699x485, 69K)

What exactly is "clueless" about my statement? Setting up cabin with solar panels, battery & backup generator, well water pump, and putting in a septic tank is something that can be done for realistic amounts of money.

As for Starlink, well it certainly is an ambitious plan, but so were Tesla & SpaceX, and both of those operations are doing just fine. Let me guess, you shorted Tesla and got butt raped by their last quarterly profit results.

Buying cheap real estate is not bad in and of itself; land will always be going up in value. Buy cheap; ten/twenty years later sell it for a nice payday. or use it as collateral for other shit. Course if your lucky and your land is picked as a site for a road or store location you can make a killing depending on how desperate they (state/store owners) want your land. I know a guy who had land walmart wanted. His was only suitable spot for such a store for various reasons. Instead of selling outright, he leased the land to walmart. He gets a nice fat check every month for x years till the lease expires

>Buy cheap; ten/twenty years later sell it for a nice payday.

minus 20 years of property taxes

and upkeep/maintaince depending on where it is.

Satelite internet is shit. small b/w, huge delay, expensive. Believe me, I sell this shit.

>septic tank
All Americans are septic tanks though

>10-20% dividend yields
doesn't sound risky.

>You use the solar panels to pump up well water, and then flush the waste into a septic tank.
can you be more specific?

>let me go on my nonexistant road to the nearest titty bar that is only 645 miles away

Imagine being this retarded where you can’t even grasp his concept

>imagine being so retarded you don't know to truly live "in the middle of nowhere" in America means being several hundred miles from any population center.

I've looked at the numbers and going offgrid seems more expensive and a hell of a lot more work than just buying a cheap gridded home in a quiet neighborhood of a mid-to-low-cost city.

It's not about whether the land will appreciate in value, it's about whether you'll have an established place to flee when society completely collapses.

>use well water as your main water source
>install toilet, sinks, tub, etc
>run drain pipe into septic tank

>society collapses
>oh you don’t understand Mr. Max, I bought this land, it’s mine. I need you and your buddies to leave now.

Looks extremely dark.

You fucking idiot it's about having a sustainable residence, food, a water source and weapons, and it helps to own the land to get that set up, while property rights mean anything.

I worked with a prepper and he had a literal bunker and a massive amount of firearms and ammo. That was back when Obama had just taken office and he was like 99% positive that we were weeks away from absolute collapse; I wonder what he did with all that canned food he was stockpiling because it would be long expired by now..

Properly canned food lasts fucking ages. There's a YouTube channel if a guy eating canned WWII rations. And preppers can't be wrong they can only be too early. You can't look at what humanity is doing to its resources and come to any other conclusion. Old growth forests aren't going to magically regrow. Fish stocks aren't going to magically replenish, and science isn't going to suddenly figure out a panacea when everyone is just pretending these problems don't exist and hoping they're dead before it all breaks.

>Setting up cabin with solar panels, battery & backup generator, well water pump, and putting in a septic tank is something that can be done for realistic amounts of money

Let's see your numbers

i'm not greedy
i just want a few hundred millions to live comfortably
don't call me greedy

That's not what cheap real estate looks like kid. Varg Vikrenes is lying to you. he is a rich dude from a rich family.

My thoughts as well. These kinds of "homes" look comfy if you know nothing about wood rot, bugs, mold and the realities of living in a tiny shack with no sunlight. If it's extremely well built then it may stand a chance but if not, good luck.

> in America
The jew already tricked you, fren.

KEKED HARD

>seething

It's always funny watching people push their moronic, reactionary economic views on a board ostensibly dedicated to discussing business.

t. assmad greedy fag
