Every American, regardless of income or wealth, should have access to the same investment opportunities. The idea that how much money someone has or makes determines what investments are allowed is offensive. The market is not a country club, and access should be open to all.

You actually have the opportunity to become an accredited investor. It means improving yourself and your station in life in order to meet the requirements. Everyone has that opportunity.
Most people though, would rather bitch and whine than improve themselves. It's a mediocre mindset. And that is why there is not a single entrepreneur in socialist societies. Just a bunch of worthless office drones getting taxed like 90% of their income and NPCing until the day they die.

I know it sucks but think of it like some kind of financial RPG. You start out with cloth armor and a pointy stick. You trade up to 25k and you get some leather armor and a dagger, now you can day trade without triggering PDT. Work and you eventually get accredited investor status so you can go deep in hedge funds and shit. For epic legendary armor/weapons, you get enough so the investment banks take you seriously whatever that's called. It'll be fun!

The reality is this: exchanges, ico's, etc. are mostly borderline scams that fleece NPCs, and as is well known 90% of retail investors lose their money within a month. As is happrning now with ICOs, sheep get slaughtered.
It's actually smart that USA kind of protects their NPCs so they can tax them themselves.
