Apply for job

>apply for job
>small business
>ad says 60k
>offered 50k
>not sure if typo on ad

I tried pushing for what was mentioned in the ad without mentioning what was said in the ad and was met with resistance.

Got asked to get back to them with why I think I'm worth what I am and to tell them how I'll make the business grow. wtf does this mean?

Sounds like a great place to work

This. looks like a welcoming place for you, user

Sounds like a Jew employer.

Tell them you'll be so good, you'll end up buying the business for pennies on the dollar. Your management and skill and knowledge will become the business.

60k? Why do you need 50k for? Why do you think you’re worth 40k? I can’t pay a dime above 30k.

Yeah I'm starting to have my doubts..

How did you know? He's full on Orthodox Jewish with the clothes, beard, hat and all. Enlighten me without the Jow Forums talk from a employer-employee perspective as to what I can expect from a Jewish boss? Never had a Jewish boss before so I gave him the benefit of the doubt..

>asks you why you are worth 60k
>you ask him why he is worth the 250k a year he is pulling from taking care of a few payments end of the month, while you are putting in all the sweat in tears
>he ends up filling a lawsuit for anti antisemitism and ends up cashing out on you

Don't you get it user? You cannot play the jew, you have to just accept in 99% of cases you will obey Shekelsteins requests and be happy you can be productive and 'earn' your pay

Reason I'm asking is I don't have to get this job. I don't want to make the same amount I used to and get more responsibility piled on top of me without a proportionate reward..

Got cucked... grow a spine and find another job...

Might as well use it as an opportunity to negotiate, what kind of work is it and how can that kind of work make a business grow?
For example if it's sales you can talk about how you have ideas on how you can explore new markets/demographics to boost sales/profits or some shit, don't even need a solid plan. They haven't hired you yet so you don't have to tell them anything concrete, just sell them on you being the right person for it.

It's for a general manager position at a place that sells copiers and ink and stuff.

Keep in mind that since it's a small business I'm talking directly to the guy who owns the place. He's been hinting at expecting some sort of spectacular growth in order to justify the 60k he had initially advertised the position at, so I don't know if even if I manage to convince him of the 60k if the results he expects are realistic...

He's a guy with a sales background so the whole bullshitting aspect isn't easy.

What's the fucking point of those palm trees? so damn tall that the only thing you see is a huge-ass stick coming out of the ground. So beautiful...

What the fuck are they trying to accomplish growing so much? It seems like a huge waste of resources, not like they have to grow that tall to reach light or something the whole place is sunny.

Honestly, those palm trees are triggering me so much, I just can't un-see them.

Do not assume good will. If you are having doubts expressed in the way you are having right now, you stand no chance against him and he will make your life a living hell by cutting corners constantly.
Alternatively, try to treat this as a playful attempt at scamming you. To see if your just a herd animal, or someone that can be on-par. Jews scam each other for fun all the time for that very purpose.

You read me like a book. That's exactly what I did. I assumed good will as despite being a good sales person myself, I'm still not immune to others with good sales skills but am able to identify what they're doing atleast.

He did constantly tell me how he WANTS to pay people more if they perform more, etc. So I thought initially, 'hey this guy SEEMS honest', but you can lie by hiding the truth as well, so I don't know what kind of performance constitutes being worthy of a raise as of now.

Jews scam each other for fun? Is this a thing?

I guess I can't be scammed because I've hit rock bottom and honestly don't give a fuck if I fall further so if I don't get what I want, I'd rather just walk away at this point. Once you get used to struggling, it weirdly isn't that bad any more..

What you said raised another significant doubt, even though he said that he wants people to be upfront with him and try to discuss problems and arrive at solutions and that he has no qualms with being 'brutally honest', I feel like there might be a certain level of psychological mind games here that I really am not a fan of in the workplace, let alone in life. I get the vibe that it might be a 'paternalistic' type of situation where he'd listen to your concerns and explain to you why he can't pay you that much. Thoughts?

Sounds about right, what I find is when people claim to be something, usually the opposite is true.
So if he claims he's "brutally honest" be prepared for him playing games passive aggressively behind your back.
If he claims he wants people to be upfront and discuss problems/solutions, expect him to stomp out or punish anyone that speaks about problems.

If you want to risk it, you can talk with him about what key performance indicators he would use to evaluate performance then suggest a commission based approach based on how you're performing to those indicators. Not sure what responsibilities a general manager would have for that kind of business but maybe the indicators could be amount of overtime paid to employees under you, amount of sales, customer satisfaction surveys, new customers brought in, or some shit like that.

If we were to blur the details, what's the feeling you get from this job based on the details I've posted so far?

You're definitely on to something. I did inadvertently test out just how 'open' and for 'constructive criticism' he was by suggesting expansion into a certain market and I was told 'yeah that comes later', so it was a 'stomping out'.

He also mentioned how he had fired LOTS of people very recently as they weren't meeting his standards. When I went there for my interview it was literally just him and one other person. No one else was even there for an interview and the store itself seemed completely dead (which can be excused somewhat if the business deals to other businesses primarily). They also have HUGE levels of inventory just sitting there..

In terms of responsibility, he basically said he wants expansion and growth in profitability. He did mention that there would be commission based on performance, at around a $1000 for 10% in growth. I wouldn't mind this if the base pay was decent, and it would actually work out to be a decent deal, but at what he's offering me.. ehhh I dunno..

Seriously lol. Run OP

Honestly what I'm leaning towards at this point..

It sounds like you should be grateful for the 50k offer bucko

kek fuck that shit, sounds like he's already mismanaged it 1 foot into the ground

When can I start?

>He also mentioned how he had fired LOTS of people very recently as they weren't meeting his standards. When I went there for my interview it was literally just him and one other person. Sounds like he's a horrible boss. How badly do you need the money user?

>asked to get back to them with why I think I'm worth what I am and to tell them how I'll make the business grow.
Hahaha fuck that shit.
If they can't even fulfill their ad promises you're in for a shitty time; they sound like a bunch of lying cunts.
And if it's a typo, it's a pretty big fuckin mistake. If they can't proofread that, what's to say they don't "accidentally" forget a 0 on your paycheck, or do a "typo" on a bank transfer that ends up forcing them not to pay their employees for a couple weeks?
Fuck that bullshit

just literally say that plus a little extra filler thats specific to why you're good

Thing is I can literally make close to that with way WAY less responsibility washing dishes.

Thanks user. I hear ya.

A sensible person would say that I need the money very badly right now, but I honestly don't want to end up in another toxic environment as my last job was a fucking nightmare that put me off of working for others for life almost..

That's what I thought as well. He was making a fuss when I pushed for 60k about how it's almost 20% more than what was offered to me, so if such is the severity of something like this, surely they can proofread to ensure there aren't such typos.

Oh and the guy told me that his English sucks, but he also told me that he's originally from New York. How does that work? Are there Jews in NY who are bad at English?

I could say that, but what I'm worried about is if that extra 10k will result in the typical passive aggressive shit by bosses where they expect you to deliver out of the world results overnight..

It wasnt a typo on the ad. They just think they can low ball inexperienced wage cucks because they know betas such as yourself will accept it.

If they really want a letter from you sucking their dick then I hope you arent planning on working there long...

Don't think I'm even going to call them back at this point to be honest.

Turn it around on them and ask them why they think they're worth your time when they can't even get the ad listing salary correct.

Do this OP. Just ask them this and then say nothing. Don't give an ultimatum, just cut contact until they make it right and offer you 60k. Always be willing to walk away.

Palm trees look much comfier in the wild with their trunks untrimmed. But in cities they shave them to the trunk because it's a natural habitat for rats, bats, etc

Oh and then after they offer you 60k, say you found another position for 70k and you'd only be willing to take their position for 75. Fuck 'em.

Good advice actually. I'll give it a think.. thanks anons.

>not offering to give mouth massage for extra pay
you need to learn to sell yourself op

Don't think the Talmud allows that..

>Enlighten me without the Jow Forums talk
Impossible

>Enlighten me without the Jow Forums talk from a employer-employee perspective as to what I can expect from a Jewish boss? Never had a Jewish boss before so I gave him the benefit of the doubt
You know all the stereotypes about penny-pinching, nepotism, treating non-Jews like subhumans? It's all true. t. two different jewish bosses

fucking hell man. For a second I thought I caught a break with this offer. Better this than to get fucked over though so thanks.

Do you mind sharing what happened with you?

>Enlighten me without the Jow Forums talk from a employer-employee perspective as to what I can expect from a Jewish boss? Never had a Jewish boss before so I gave him the benefit of the doubt..
Good luck with that.
My advice:
Tell him that you're a man with jewish roots that wants to reconnect with his past and that you just moved there. This will make him believe you're a crypto jew. Watch as you climb the corporate ladder immediately.
