I feel the same. Iota is far from perfect, but it's my best and favorite bet. After the Bosch news I knew I'm going to wait it out, because it might get somewhere big. Risky, sure. Let's hope for the holiday and for becoming the next Roger Vers in an IoT future.

Not a bad gamble, user, but the risk is high since it’s an unproven DAG with no historical proof that the security will check out after they move things from the centralized system. If that all works out well and the tech proves secure, this will be a 10-100x for sure. I’d rather place my money on blockchain since the hashing algos have proven secure, but to each their own.

IOTA is literally some of the worst tech in all of cryptocurrency. It doesn't work. It never worked. It never will work. The entire project is completely assinine. This tech is supposedly for IoT, but it's one of the more unsuitable projects for IoT. This shit is complete poison. The only people buying are those who are non-technical people who are completely incapable of evaluating it, so they fall for the hype.

There was a single coordinator until now. After what they say a clear transition from coordinator off and on is not possible. Now they first want to split the coordinator into several coordinators. The funny part is you need to stick with one coordinator unless you want to loose all your funds. A big and right direction in userfriendliness and adoption, rigth?

I have the same feeling too, that's why I started the thread. Sometimes I look into the Iota subreddit, and I can't deny anymore that the mood is getting very similar to how Eth was like before it all started. There are SO MANY people there at this point, and so many awesome news.

This is all acceptable for a project that's still under development. I don't see a reason to mistrust the developers. They'll eventually fix up their act I think (= kind of blindly bet). So far they delivered on every fix that was needed. Users' funds got locked sometimes in the earlier times, but never lost as far as I remember. And they claim to be working actively on removing the coordinator now, so we'll see some time, hopefully soon, what happens.

I meant more the time when ETH went from around 70 to 400. I was a bit late to the party. But it was fun.
