thats a massive initial investment. it wasnt some sort of home equity withdrawal was it user?

you 5X your investment at ATH.
what else did you want?

feels good to know I invested before 2017

>initial 1k
>ATH 300k
>current 25k, after withdrawing 100k throughout all of 2017, selling to newfags

most of my savings (85%)

Initial $1.1M
ATH $1.1M
current $700

my family doesn't know that I lost this much of their money yet.

You can’t lose unless you sell. This is a long game now.

This must be a larp. I won't believe this.

Get fucked.

Current: 7k.

Where the wagies at

Initial: $120
ATH: $240ish
current: $118

If only I had bought a couple of weeks later. My first crypto purchase ever was like 3 weeks ago. I put it right into an altcoin anyways. Wish I had more money to invest; this alt has a pretty decent group of people working on it.

explain this user even if larp.

lol.
bitcoin is a meme.

Initial: $50 bucks

Something similar here:

Now 500

How i did x140? Eth into antshares into wtc, and shilled here.

I did Pivx -> Ark -> DGB -> bunch of other shitcoins -> coss -> omisego -> Bitcoin.

Bitcoin isn't meant to replace fiat, brainlet. Read the whitepaper.

initial investment $120k.... my initial was 5k and I have a higher balance than you. wtf did you do

You keep posting this lad. It's time to face the reality and tell them

please elaborate

If this isn't larp, what did you buy?

a fool and his money are soon parted

The remaining balance on a personal loan I took out to buy the "dip"earlier this year. My $100k investment is down 70%.

On some exchanges, the alt it's going for min price per BTC; on others it's going for USDT/other alts at different values.
Had I waited, I could've aquired more BTC, held it, and then exchanged more of the alt later on (assuming it doesn't moon before BTC, which I don't think it will). The $240 figure was because at one point (pre-BTC crash) it shot up in value a bit. The $118 is the estimate from my wallet program so it might be a little bit off, but it's pretty close from what I'm seeing on charts.
This coin is going to take a few months to see real growth, but it's pretty much at its lowest in my opinion. And if it fails, it was just $100 anyways...

Initial 20k
ATH 600k
Current 120k

Close.

Will hold till zero, 3.5k.isn't much money to me thankfully.

Bought in January with my inheritance and $700k of my parents money after I convinced them to let me invest in cryptocurrency.

I thought I just needed to figure out a strategy. at first I decided I would do hours and hours of research and then go all-in on a single project, to maximize my return on time spent researching. I picked ODN. bought at $1.70, held way too long because "muh fundamentals" and then finally sold in March for $0.14. Already I only had $90k left. I was ready to kill myself for losing so much. But I figured I could hit a few pumps and at least be back at $500k.

The reason I sold ODN (thank fuck I finally did) was WAN had just been listed on Binance and I was sure it was going to go to $40-50 dollars. I bought WAN a week or two after it went public on binance around $4, then panic sold at $5 sold after nothing was happening after a small pump, thinking I had better just take a little profit then. of course, when it hit $6 I couldn't help throw $30,000 at it. and again at $7. at $8 I was all in again. when things started going down again, I did something very stupid. I thought "I'll just hold it, iron hands, and not even look at the price for a while. when I come back, ill be rich!"

well when I looked at the prices in June I wasn't feeling so good about that approach anymore. I sold and had about $42k left. I thought maybe I needed to diversify. I bought REQ, IPSX, FSN, HOT, 0xBTC, UUU, DRGN, NANO, ZIL, ETH, and BTC. except all my ETH and BTC always ended up being converted into other other crap. I might make 10% on one trade and lose 30% on nine others. it was so depressing I stopped tracking my trades, because I didn't want to know how much I had left.

finally in October I liquidated all my shit coins and bought BTC. I had 2.17 BTC total, around $18,000. I was ready to kill myself, but I figured I had one chance left. I transferred 2 BTC to bitmex, got lucky a few times, then got liquidated. just have the 0.17 BTC left.

jesus man why the fuck didnt you just go all in on link

> I got in early so I made a lot of money from dumb idiots that got in later!

i hope yall payed your taxes

if you're ameritards that is

If you bought in only a couple months before January you'd have had tens of millions. Lol and you would have lost it all too I bet because you jumped into a game you didn't understand.

Btw it would have been a better larp if you're American. I'd have paid 1 bitcoin for a live stream of the Thanksgiving dinner convo if it were real lol

Initial: $100

See Nice. Hope my $120 investment takes off like your $100 one did (I know it's a low chance, but screw it, it's just $120)

i just got to know
Why the fuck did you not go all in on LINK after all this time? The endless amount of shill threads, all those shitcoins, and you never thought to go in on LINK?

you do realize none of this would happen if you just went with LINK...

but pretty good story user.

LINK-USD is still down from any of the months he would have bought in.

I wish I could gamble with other people's money in crypto like hedgefund managers do with options.
I'm sure I could get a few people I know to invest...
I just don't have it in me; I'd be too worried I'd lose all of their money.
Plus the idea of capitulation is just so foreign to me; I'd probably do something stupid like follow a crash all the way to the bottom and just never sell, potentially losing them all of their money instead of just some of it

THE WORLD IS NOT ANYMORE THE WAY IT USED TO BE MMMH NONONO

NEVER INVEST WHAT YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO LOSE

Shitcoins and BitMEX, what a great combo...
I also learned the hard way that trading in a bull market is far different than trading in a bear market, but at least I limited my losses and kept the majority of my stack
I can't believe you entered a $1m position with little/no trading experience

Attached: IMG_20181114_160647.jpg (928x1200, 191K)

These threads always make me feel better

What a fucking retard. Couldn't even the or his initial investment when it went 3x?
Deserves to be poor

Fun fact: The market cap of ODN is 1/20th of his original position size.

Even Bitconnect would have been a better investment, because he would have at least dumped at $40 right away for a 90% loss, less than what he ended up realizing.

Sell his *
Fucking how phone

Which dip did you buy?

Why did so many of you idiots not at least take out your initial investments? This thread must be full of larp.

Go hang out in Vegas. You'll see stories like this every day, some asshole sees Rounders and thinks he can get rich.

It's fucking awesome. Go find a comfy seat in a bar in one of the bigger casinos, and people watch. You'll see them. After 11pm you'll have to swat away the hookers, but they're usually pretty chill if you just say "no thanks."

I love watching people crash and burn - which is why I love coming here.

HAHAHAHA oh my god user, how the fuck did you lose so much money? I don't understand the anons who post here with hyperjusted portfolio's like this.

My initial investment was something around 20k. My current balance is almost 30k. How the fuck did you retards lose money. Also no I'm not an early adopter I got in mid 2017. My ATH was 70k.

You could have just gotten your initial investment in actual bills, and lit them on fire in a bbq.

Would have at least been more entertaining.

I actually legit almost feel sorry for you, you dumb cunt.

But you said you spent hours of research, and you bought fucking ODN. How were you not able to tell that 90% of those projects were shitcoins after looking into them.

What's worse, when you diversified, you went into every shitcoin imaginable except Link. Why the fuck did you not jump into Link? Was it me? Did I stop you with all the FUD threads and shitposting threads I made about Link. I made them to keep retarded idiots away from Link so I could scoop up more cheap stinkies. I guess it worked but christ you got JUSTed hard in the process. I learned in my first week on Jow Forums to stay away from what is shilled and only get into what is FUD'd the most. It is the reason I am still in the green during this year long bear market.

kill yourself now!

Yeah but instead of $700 he'd have like $500k even if he bought during the peak in January. He'd also have a shitton of Link and would have been a billionaire in a few years.

Nothing funnier than people going broke, except maybe triggered Linkfags.

>If you bought in only a couple months before January you'd have had tens of millions. Lol and you would have lost it all too
100% chance

>to stay away from what is shilled and only get into what is FUD'd
no more true-er words have been said

Holy shit I feel bad for your parents. What do they do for a living that they felt safe trusting you with $700k?

>you'd have had tens of millions. Lol and you would have lost it all too
This. People on this board do not understand when you need to sell all, and just hold until they are in the red.

don't worry, his parents must be rich as fuck that 700k is nothing to them

Fuckin hell m8. Here I am pissed off being down $3k from my cost basis and then I read that. I'm actually tearing up a bit putting myself in your shoes. It's fucking game over man I don't think I could face my family again after that.

Initial - $10K
All time high - $12K
Current - I don't look anymore

it was an expensive lesson in why you should fomo into shit without doing proper research. I can take the hit though.

Advice to live by, mane.
This is a fucking Tongan catamaran enthusiasts forum after all.
The shill threads are just there to make OPs feel good about their "investments" in altcoins that are not LINK and those without Jew bank interests.

I bought a condo in the heart of my city. I cashed out probably 600 or 700k. I am feeling fine because I was only in for 2,000 and now I have a condo.

I don't regret thinking I could go to 10mm and not selling, it's okay, I prepared myself for this.

or how soon you get out.

The only reason why I made money off Crypto from 2013 to 2018 is because I used my profits as monthly spending balances. 2500$/month at minimum, at my height $10k/month while living as a neet. It feels like I only got 50-60k out, but doing the math now, its more like 200-350k from a 750$ investment. Would have had a lot more money if I had just held and never spend a single dollar and then then dipped in December. But evidently, nobody can time the market. At the start of the bull run (Jan/Feb 2017), I only had $6.5k left in Crypto while continuing to draw $2.5k/month. That $6.5k eventually still got me to $180k ATH by December. Of this $180k I got out maybe $20k, the bulk of the money (200$-350$k) I got out in the years before. In a sort reverse DCA. Now I am in debt because I loaned 2 BTC from someone to cover a long position which got liquidated kek.

Attached: 3454.jpg (500x637, 107K)

I bought some bitcoin in July 2017 and then again in December. I found it extremely nerve wracking to watch the price swing with such seemingly random volatility, especially since I knew it could crash at any time like a house of cards.

I only ever put 5-10% of my worth into it, but it just seemed like such a bonanza that I needed to at least cut myself a piece of it. Both times I sold 1 or 2 weeks later and made a few grand off the trades. Felt pretty good man :)

Christ almighty

Absolutely - no one can time the market and that is still an insane return. Good to hear! And I totally understand shooting for the 10 mil.

Just as in other other ponzi scheme.
