Imagine owning a home like that and not selling it in this market to buy a cheap small cozy house

What's the point of a big house without the people who love you living in it. The place I have suits me fine for now.

I would never live on streets called Chestnutz or McKay, much less a fucking nigroid McMansion.

That house in the middle, what where they thinking!

>7.5 baths

>inb4 rentfag cope

some of this thread is alright though, a large mcmansion is a mistake.

>not having 5 kids

Imagine not having the joy of raising a large and loving family

the last home looks the coziest

what a waste of money. I live for free with my parents!

>having kids

location, location, location
Move to Hamilton or some shit tier city, poor rentfag

Are they at least brick and stone?
Paying $1M for a cardboard box would be retarded no matter the location

>pay really cheap rent to live with someone that owns their place.
>not responsible for paying any property taxes, mortgage, upkeep costs, etc.
>Extra money in my pocket every month to invest into crypto.
>Roommate and i get along great. Both keep to ourselves.
Remind me why I'm supposed to be jealous of homeowners?

The housing bubble will blow up.

The bottom one looks aesthetic tho

Yup, "huge" RE crash and it goes down 5%, and you still cant afford.
Rentfag cope

Leafland will get absolutely obliterated by increasing interest rates, imploding china economy and global economic slowdown.

You will never afford in Toronto kiddo, keep dreaming.

It's a dump though. Why would I want to live there?

I bet you check prices everyday looking for "crash" sales of $200k for a detached. LAMO

If I ever make it, I'll certainly buy land and build a house.

The most likely scenario is house prices will stagnate or decrease a little but everything else will skyrocket. Loaf of shitty bread? $50. Jug of milk? $100. Iphone? $50000. And so forth.

Good. Incomes will skyrocket too. And everyone can pay off their mortgage in a year.

It's leafland you're talking about. There's millions of poojeets who are going to keep the wages deflated.

If you live in an area with good schools and a place people legitimatly want to live the correction will be a 5-20% move and not a -50% like in shitsville. Sure you might buy the top but it's not the end of the world to start establishing yourself in a nice area. Just don't speculate on houses outside of all ammenities those are what get hit the hardest

I took advantage of the last housing slump. Got a 3 bed/1 & 1/2 bath/basement/garage/decent size yard + rear deck house cheap. House backs up to a park/school so no one can build anything behind me. I can walk to the damn park through my backyard. The owners remodeled it, prob spent 10-15k on the tile work alone. Original floors (great condition), gas fireplace. The layout is perfect, no wasted space at all. Just me, wife and 2 cats.

having to share with others, no matter if you like them or not, is poorfag technique.

Place was built in the late 60's. But it's been maintained/remodeled over the years. The other houses around it are all the same age and all have been kept up. Built solid as a rock. No nasty surprises lurking underneath as you'd find with a new house.

LEAFED

It's gotta be cheaper to just build your own fucking house
