Put 100k in Oct 2017. Had 200k ATH. Put another 400k in this year through DCA and I’m down to around 150k left. Lost almost 350k in real money.
I’ve lost most of my life savings
How are you holding up?
It hurts to think about losing that much money. Trying to avoid capitulating at the bottom but really losing faith in the whole ecosystem.
Time-lock your wallet away maybe.
Is there a service for that? I should make something for that if there isn't. It'd be great to just hold someone's bags to prevent capitulation & take like 1% of the total value held
To tell you the truth, I would cash out. I've come to the realization today that it's all a scam. a ponzi from the beginning. The entire cryptosphere was simply a way to drain more money from the general population before the financial reset so they have a harder time getting positioned in metals. We literally bought imaginary internet money.
If you had 500k to invest, you couldn't have been that bad off to start, right? I'm sure it stings either way though. Best of luck fren.
may our dark Lord curse your asshole with cancer.
When did you have your sex change operation?
fuckin retard lmao
It's all my savings at this point. I kept DCA to bring down my buy in price but the market just kept going down lower and lower and lower each time.
>didn't diversify
>surprised when he loses it all
HMMM....
Diversification is for empty cowards who build nothing in the real world
You know you're supposed to DCA every 6 months? You're not averaging shit if you're buying every fucking week you moron. Bitcoin operates on a very predictable 4 year pump and dump cycle, you bought a top, so you should space your purchases out every 6 months or so to DCA to something reasonable. What the fuck where you thinking? That it'd just miraculously jump up this year?
Nah I knew BTC was going to 3k but I hoped BCH had bottomed out around 500
So you *knew* BTC was going to 3k, but somehow you decided to draw price conclusions off an even MORE speculative asset class, that has only existed for about one year, and of which there is far less data and precedent to reach conclusions on.
I literally cannot imagine the defects necessary to cause this line of thinking.
Jihan, Roger, Craig and Calvin hold insanely large amounts of BCH compared to BTC but I'm sure you know everything random Jow Forums poster
This makes me feel less shit...
I invested 5k ath was 70k now i got 40k.
Thanks to smartlands. Went allin some month ago.
You have lost half a million bucks dude, you're not allowed to start acting high and mighty with your insider knowledge. I don't know everything, but I also am smart enough to know I don't know everything, which is why I don't risk 500k on a hunch and some meme-infographics that suggested a bitcoin fork would bottom around 500 USD. Which FYI for you to be at 20% of your initial investment, you had to have invested when BCH was closer to 1200 USD. So you obvs didn't DCA very well.
What are you in now
You’ll get your money back just be patient
I haven't touched my BCH since the fork. Have equal amount of both.
how do you cope
Eh unironically met the girl I will probably marry this year. First time in my life I feel like money isn't everything and I'm actually happier now than before. Would've just spent the money on a lambo and stupid shit anyways. If crypto never recovers I'll just take a hard lesson and invest safely from here on out.
