>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

Just you wait and see, rkg
Even if it does go down in the short term, it doesn't really matter to me
I didn't buy GALT because it had good technicals, I bought it because it has good fundamentals

Advice on where to begin learning options trading?

Attached: 1515894281116.jpg (634x634, 78K)

If you have to ask, you aren't ready. But in principle, they're the same as stocks:

buy low and sell high

>But in principle, they're the same as stocks:
not really but ok.

Attached: 1542341521122.gif (280x211, 1.92M)

>Same as stocks
What are you talking about? They are contracts. Even I know there is a huge difference between a contract and a share.

so two questions for ya /rhg/

1.) whats your preferred TA method
2.) whats your preferred candlestick size (1m, 1h, 1D, 1Y?)

Don't waste your time on that investowhatever shit.
Monday on open, you all-in spy atm puts or you leave Jow Forums forever and sit your faggot ass down in the poorhouse.

you are fucking retarded. Please explain to me how buying OTM calls with high theta is the same as buying stock.. please explain to me how selling covered calls for extra income is the same as just holding stock.. please explain to me selling puts... buying puts....

Options are not the same as buying and selling stock it's literally a contract to buy or sell stock at a certain price.. if you are going to treat it the same as a stock you are going to have a tough time.. not understanding how the spread works on options will kill you even if the underlying is doing good your premium could be lagging especially if it's OTM.. please come back after you've been in the market awhile.. unitl then i suggest you lurk more.

Literally who are you? Go back to your penny stocks lmao. Your 2 followers on stocktwits probably miss you too.

HOLY FUCK no way you're this retarded

please stop being mean to each other

30m seems like a bit of a waste if you use 5m, 15m, and 1h

I buy whatever brand, preference to smirnoff or grey goose. Actually have never heard of the coffee filter trick though, probably won't ever use it but thanks for the tip.

You're literally getting jewed if you buy this, (((Sidney Frank))) came up with it as a marketing gimmick. Popov or Kamchatka with brita filters is great. MY favorite is Evan Williams bourbon though

Ah, the fool. Such a blessing, to receive a destiny of either creation or destruction. Limited by nothing but the will of God and the will of your own selfish desires. Funny, how many desire to have such control over their fates, yet turn the fool away for fear of the freedom crushing any notion of security and comfort. Truly, these people are not alive.

What are you gonna buy next biz
Thinking about NOC, have only missed 2 earnings or so the past 4 years, biggest space company that is possible to invest in, when the space race of 2020 kicks in it'll make bank

good choice, but LMT is better

BA would be too if they didnt have that dead weight of their commercial airplane business

BA returns recently have been amazing, so they will probably sag for a while now, especially with that lost plane

you should consider HON too, they are nice and diverse, for a defense contractor

I just got another LMT stock last week, so probably wont be getting another major aerospace/military tech stock for a while myself

Attached: chartoftheday_4929_america_s_biggest_defense_contractors_n[1].jpg (960x684, 139K)

Already into LMT with about 7k dollaroos, but they're not as heavily into the space meme as NOC so might aswell get the best of both

btc under 3500
eth holding above 100, after it breaks 100 it crashes

is it worth buying the real-time market data for both ARCA and NYSE? i was reading they are kinda the same exchange?

in that case NOC is a great choice

RTN could be alright too, not sure how much they are into the aerospace industry

is Virgin Galactic publicly traded? elon needs to allow for public spaceX trading

it gets worse
you have a couple years to hold, at least

depends on how much capital you have in your portfolio

Attached: 1501079454834.jpg (1075x1326, 677K)

i have like 2k i just started investing with stocks. I read that most ETFs are traded on ARCA. Say i want to invest in ETFs, is ARCA a better choice than NYSE?

Could you use the data to make more profits than the data will cost?

Could you do it consistently?

Also, i was reading ARCA has options quotes, is it more useful than the simple NYSE if i'm dabbling with options?

honestly is just 2$ per month for each market but i don't want to waste money.
i'm just asking if more experienced traders have any experience/opinion with NYSE/ARCA real time market data plans.
I'm already interested in NASDAQ and i'm not sure if ARCA would be better for me than NYSE.

For $2 a month there's no reason not to

Ne no know ;_;
All it every did was stab me in tha cooter X.X

>he doesn't drink Knob Creek
Not gonna make it, fren.
Also, SQQQ is going to make me a millionaire.

Considering the past pump to 20k was artificial, the question is when they will start pumping it again.
Crypto won't go away, it might take years for it to start blasting off again.. but will the groups controlling the crypto market wait for that long? I don't think so, the profits are just massive in crypto. It's fucking childsplay compared to the stock market. They will probably find a bottom around 1800-3000 and start accumulating for weeks or months before pumping it again.

BUT, the point being.. it's going to pump again without a doubt.. simply because the crypto market is so damn loose it's just way too easy for rich people to bolster their wealth.

The main bullish case for BTC (pretty much the only coin worth a damn) is its similarity to physical gold trading.

- BTC is the most recognizable crypto
- BTC is reputed to be non forgeable (hence a form of common trust)
- you can take it with you anywhere in the world with ease
- you can exchange it for local currency without using official channels (which require background checks, bank account etc)

I think BTC's incredible bullrun coincided with the global financial bullruns of 2017. The big boys were all too happy to find another niche to park their excess margins into. BTC got dumped because the same people are getting margin called and they raise cash wherever they can.

Daytrading is a fools game. Medium term bets and longer are the only way you can beat the market.

According to this view bitcoins success is just linked to the overall level of liquidity, in which case the most rational thing to do is to pull your money out now. Liquidity is just going to get harder to come by as the fed raises rates, low profits cause defaults, and consumer credit reaches its limits.

daytrading has so much liquidity because of HFT bots, its actually pretty easy for make some amount of money daily

How has that worked out for you so far ?

Attached: UVXY_CEO_Mike.png (246x246, 84K)
