There is only a small number of people who would ever invest in crypto. This number is much smaller than people who would invest in regulated markets, such as the stock market.

Every time a small coiner gets wiped out, they are out of the market forever. Meanwhile, was prices collapse sometimes 25% per day, this prevents real investors from entering the market, since only an idiot is going to put their money into something that can lose 25% value in a day.

The net result is that the price of crypto will be based on a very tiny number of people, all trying to trade among themselves.
