Jim Cramer is a timeless contrarian indicator edition
>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy? Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.
Put the options videos in a pastebin because people keep copypasting the embedded titles of the videos instead of the actual links to the videos when they make threads
My good boy Nintendo will be unstoppable now. I should've doubled down 5 days ago, but it would've end up making a position too big for my taste for a particular stock, since I'm more of a lazy ETF grandpa
A kind reminder that uncle Powell is not a mean man He just wants to punish the naughty Wall Street big bois and hopes you have a pleasant Christmas nonetheless
>20 years Then definitely SPY. Just look what happened to GE.
Wyatt Collins
Got calls on $16 Gamestop. Surely the sale of Simple Mobile should help later on.
Kevin Diaz
You know that trump is going to get absolutely justed by china on Friday right?
Logan Allen
Nice call. I don't think newfags ever even bother to read the OP anyways, so now there's no hassle with the copy-paste and you can just reply to newfags again with the pastebin link. Nice.
Christian Cooper
Gained 120% on my portfolio. Sold Amazon a little to early, went up $36 after.

Chinamen will fold like origami

Bulls are gonna get castrated hard on the minutes frendo. Rates only need to increase 2% more, we're "almost" at neutral. Powell was just trying to be a decent human being and not utterly crush your dreams of having a prosperous Hanukkah.
Parker Moore
It all depends on how earnings go. They've already gone up due to selling the mobile division; if they shit the bed tomorrow, which I'm personally hoping for, then things will look grim for them.
That being said, I bought a small call earlier today, anticipating they would go up before earnings. I plan to sell it early tomorrow, unless they start skyrocketing again, in which case I'll hold onto it to mitigate losses.
i usually delete the (embed)'s
the video links are easy to google and get the right video though
asia will decide
but BTC has been pumping since last night...not bartswild barts, but consistent steps up
BTC has been a good predictor of the way stocks go lately (all currency really, not just crypto)
to be fair checking on individual companies in your portfolio once a week or once a month can help you avoid holding on to a bag as it crashes and burns like GE
>got out of GE when one of their previous CEO's left, and it jumped huge in one day to $27 a share
just need to do minor due dilligence, not necessarily only check your portfolio once a day
not if he reaches a last second compromise after talking up a huge shitstorm beforehand
like he has done with every deal ever
how do people still not see the pattern he uses?
we need to bring back the google docs earnings, fedposting, and meme announcement calendar in the OP that /rgh/ used to have
all the dates in one source was far better than needing to open up a dozen calendars to see all the important dates
but i think calendar-bro got liquidated, or got a life and left late 2016
and im too lazy to make a burner goog account to do one
should I buy tomorrow or wait for this big move to retrace a little bit?
Robert Adams
I think they read the first few lines, but not the entire OP Having them in a pastebin will definitely solve the problem of people not actually copypasting the links, though
William Smith
I HAVE NO IDEA AND ITS FREAKING ME OUT
I think NFLX is going to be a guaranteed 10% from this level though, once golden globes nominations come out and they get not just Best Drama ALSO Best Comedy, its going to change the game.
Adam Myers
>once golden globes nominations come out
People actually pay attention to that shit? I thought it was just some dick waving contest for the people in the industry.
Ryan Brooks
THREADLY REMINDER THAT DIVIDENDS ARE YOUR FREN
Some autist should set up a practice portfolio and trade based on doing the opposite of what Jim Cramer suggests and see how much money they make.
it wont continue a perfectly straight parabolic line, but it will bull flag with a slight fakeout breakout near the end, and a reverse bart then go up
Cooper Bailey
>The bears got greedy with their market chasing and insist on a continued downturn Golden bull confirmed. I'd only be feeling doubtful if the bears all packed their bags. Overconfident bears are how you know you've passed the bottom.
If dubs, tomorrow is a red day. Check ‘em and shrek ‘em.

My portfolio is ready Daddy Jay.

who's paying Cramer to mislead retail?

>to be fair checking on individual companies in your portfolio once a week or once a month can help you avoid holding on to a bag as it crashes and burns like GE >got out of GE when one of their previous CEO's left, and it jumped huge in one day to $27 a share >just need to do minor due dilligence, not necessarily only check your portfolio once a day Yeah, I don't have faith in my ability to do minor due diligence for 20 years. I'd much rather just throw it all in an index like SPY that I'll probably not even be able to beat and then I'll be able to do even less due diligence.
>we need to bring back the google docs earnings, fedposting, and meme announcement calendar in the OP that /rgh/ used to have >all the dates in one source was far better than needing to open up a dozen calendars to see all the important dates >but i think calendar-bro got liquidated, or got a life and left late 2016 >and im too lazy to make a burner goog account to do one I think there's some website out there for important biopharma trial results dates. It was basically a website version of that "stickerbitch's calendar" thing. I'm not doing earnings gambles anymore though.
Jeremiah Reed
>>I think NFLX is going to be a guaranteed 10% from this level though depends on the timeframe, i only see them moving sideways for the next couple of years >once golden globes nominations come out and they get not just Best Drama ALSO Best Comedy, its going to change the game. the older the awards show the more of an industry-circlejerk it is, average viewer does not care about awards (although peoples choice can be good way to gauge what people do care about)
>>Also friendly reminder that Robinhood found a CFO to help their upcoming IPO yup, an old Amazon vet, who was with them for 20 years https //techcrunch.com/2018/11/27/robinhood-hires-20-year-amazon-veteran-to-cfo-role-as-high-flying-startup-eyes-ipo/
calendar-bro would add things to the calendar that people in the thread suggested, it had everything, earnings, pharma FDA decisions, stock split days, new CEO coming or going, Fed speech days, elections that may effect stock xyz, days of SEC announcements, if someone mentioned it in a general, then it would be on there within a day
it was not only informative for the actual important dates (and being aware of their impact on stocks before and after), but to see what various people in the general were focusing on, and get an insight into the plans of the groupthink (entertaining for both observing real market trends, and smugposting at retards)
all in one internet link, it was magical and useful
you could just keep that tab open permanently to the left of whatever tab the current general was on, instead of scouting the OP for a dozen links to open
Another, what do the investment banks call them... liquidity events. Right. Another liquidity event for my portfolio today. Not the good kind either. Two stop losses went bust. GW Pharma broke trend line and Origin House broke support. So yoink went those.
New entry for today: TerrAscend.
OGI may have broken bullish today, will see tomorrow for follow through. Quinsam Capital still ranging but coming up on a golden cross (50 cross above 200 MA) in about a week or so if current trend stays the same. Planet 13 may also have broken out of descending trend today.
I think the S&P 500 VIX futures link (the premarket data link makes it redundant, imo), stocktwits link, and ER calendar links can be removed from the OP
I think most people will either be able to find ER calendars on their own or be too new to care about them I don't think most people would know about the Biopharma catalyst website without a link to it in the OP, though
Vix futures are the only futures that matter and I would leave the ER calendar. stocktwits is worse than reddit, so I agree on that.
Brandon Murphy
>too new to care about them
If you're trading individual stocks you need to be aware of earnings calls from day 1. Otherwise you can get dumped on and not understand what the fuck happened.
Hudson Martin
I’m going to yolo some dogecoin as soon as Robinhood does crypto.
Camden Johnson
The real challenge is being the OP who makes the next thread, otherwise suggestions are forgetting within a day
Andrew Watson
Adapt. Improvise. Overcome. Op is, and always will be, a faggot.
Logan Bennett
I'll remember tomorrow, even if I don't make the next thread
Alright, I'll leave them in I don't think anyone will miss the stocktwits link, though
Asher Stewart
they cant do some penny coins, bitcoin is only safe and even that would require etf it's hard for brokers to buy it otherwise safely
Nice user. I bought a lot of Gamestop stock at ~$13.30 following the annoucement. Its my biggest position right now. I will probably trim it down after the holidays/transaction completes.
Jose Adams
Damn Who knew that CEO Mike is making cheesy comedies in chinkland ?
Green day all around. Up by $120.00. My hero Armin is back on the uptick. The introduction of more shares scared folks. But the slump didn't last long. Hope this green day lasts rest of the week.
Christopher Hernandez
I put 50% of my net worth in FTE networks at $4 per share. Right after doing that, it ended up topping a list of the most volatile stocks on the market.
Not sure if I should be happy or worried about that. It is literally moving faster than crypto though, and I'm already up by 50% ish.
Adam Cook
Good day to get out.
Going all cash until G-20.
Aaron Harris
I'm broke im autistic I'm sad I'm lonely I want to kill myself. I have nothing to offer the economic landscape.
I smell Profit and lots of it with my hero Amarin. From Seeking Alpha site today:
Target Price: $65
Catalysts:
Short Term: Buyout/Partnership offer from big pharma Short Term: FDA grants label expansion (mid-2019) Long Term: Amarin reaches 1M scripts in 2020 Long Term: Vascepa’s 2021 revenue tops $2.5B Long Term: Amarin establishes distribution networks in China and Europe
my nigg user i went in at 7 in ARMIN and bought 300 shares in the dip at 16 back at 17 at the end cant wait until it hits 20s again also buy NIO while its still cheap
thats a really fucking crowed part why not do one about stocks you have content everyday. normies will start fallowing you and you can spread that shit to 10mins so you can make a good amount of pocket change
They love tall white guys in general. I spent a year of my life in southern Japan and I legit felt like an Uber Chad with how much play I got. It’s unreal.
Daniel Gomez
Holy fuck, I gotta move to based Nihon. If they like tall white guys so much, why aren't they visiting Idaho/Montana areas?
Because it’s all in the context of Japanese society that tall white guys are worth anything. Don’t get it twisted, you’re just a toy/status symbol, they won’t be taking you home to mom n dad or thinking about building a family with you. You are literally ranked and valued by your “rare” attributes ( tall, blonde, green eyes). It’s a weird form of sexual racism that was both really hot and kind of annoying.
Ryder Sullivan
Does 6'3 220 work or would they just consider that Goliath? Asking for a friend.
Anthony Phillips
Thanks.
I'm hoping for a third white soldier to come after my morning star. I need its power.
Very volatile and difficult to price. But it seems to have a solid support at 6.
Cameron Howard
Lots of small EV startups like Faraday or Fisker have failed. But NIO has the largest potential market being based in China, and could get a competitive advantage by avoiding tariffs. Tesla has been willing to drop prices to compensate for tariffs though, so we'll see how that goes.
