Also, there's the problems in the housing market, in emerging economies, leverage and defaults are increasing across the economy. While the market may have priced in the 25% tariffs, it doesn't mean they will completely expect all the losses in profit it will incur.
Nice, but nothing that makes me immediately doom and gloom yet. Just another domino that will topple when everything comes crashing down. Haven't researched it, but my hunch is that revenues are still up, but these manufacturing companies are up to their necks in debt which eats into their income.
Housing prices are too damn high. Real estate generally goes through a cycle (and historically, that cycle has never destroyed the markets outside of 2008). So we'll see how smarter banks have gotten this time around (also worth noting that 2008 was a perfect storm of not just a real estate bubble, but a general recession and liquidity crisis).
Emerging markets fucking suck, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're baggage tanks the world economy again like it did in the 90s. Sadly I'm too much of a lazy fuck to dedicate my time towards studying every shithole country USD has exposure to.
