>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy? Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.
only if they attempt to refinance or if they received a non-fixed loan. that's like T, but T is in a better position than GE based on its revenue streams

Just went in EA call 4x, it cant fall forever, right?

Ding ding ding! How did everyone do today? I’m up .11%, I’m holding off making big trades while the fed and g-20 is going on. Got some smuck though, I’m gonna jelly my dick into some profit
Up six bucks today in unrealized gains. But putting cracker barrel on a limit order was probably one of my best decisions, turns out I guessed the price exactly right and got it at it's absolute high for the day and the year.
down .9 but i went up 6% yesterday so im still good
Benjamin Parker
decent day there was a lot of bullish movement on VTGN after hours yesterday and premarket today, and an extremely high volume of shares was trading from 9:30 to 9:40 something's gone on with it, but I'm not sure what
it could just be because they got a patent to produce their major drug (AV-101) in Hong Kong, but I feel like there's more to it
Brayden Kelly
Not bad, up %3 but that’s from GE spiking.
If you look at the current retail market for marijuana in the states that have legalized it, the big sellers with the best margins are vapable distillates and extracts. Flower is for boomers who want to remember the 70’s.
-.30percent down which is about 300 bucks but it's mainly my Aurora and GE which have been making a some what come back well GE has
Elijah Morris
Why is everyone making these kinds of positions on GE, I don't get it
Gabriel Roberts
checked. I have no idea, it's terrifyingly high in debt and exists in a chaotic state, and is still somehow way above a 1 PB Why anyone would by this I don't know

Yeah, I saw that they were falling after a bad earning report and just knew that the underlying value was way higher. I also saw they were investing in a delivery service which I thought was genius.
Cameron Barnes
Because they don't know how to gtfo of a dieing company
They were failing well before their most recent earnings report
what are the transaction costs and fees for those trades?
Gavin Walker
Zero.

+- $0.01 when you only buy 2-4 at a time is nothing that only screws you when you order over 100 shares I was young, and its not like GE has wild price swings like some meme-ish stocks
i think one of those market buys actually was for a penny less than the "current" price when i hit buy (because it dropped while i was placing the order)
$0.00 (and $0.00 monthly)
still seems weird that this is /smg/, not /robinhood general/
Are people on here mainly use it. I mean I have seen some of you use it but I was under the impression that fidelity and vangaurd we're Kings here
Andrew White
If you are a real big TA guy or day trader then RH sucks ass. If you are just doing swings and options on top of regular buy n’ hold investment then RH can’t be beat for the cost.
Kevin Gonzalez
>GME down almost 12% after hours, after dropping 2.6% beforehand I know one of you fags made a call on them, hopefully you minimized your losses by selling it already. Of course, I have no fucking clue why you would expect them to beat earnings in the first place.
Gavin Miller
What's going to make money tomorrow? Or do I just throw my $5,000 into QQQ and let it ride?
Matthew Thomas
up until robinhood started trading crypto too these threads were specifically for it, the website was always in the OP
it was assumed that most in the thread were using it, unless they had 5 figures or more to invest with
the number of users of other brokers on here seems to have increased as time goes on
not sure if its because people found better brokers or if RH users lost it all and cashed out or if more new people here start with something besides robinhood
RH is great if you use something else to chart and TA
i have no idea how anyone could invest using only robinhoods graphs though, or at least do that without losing money overall
ive also heard of people joining an actual broker, then using that to TA, but using rh to actually buy and sell, putting no actual money into the other broker (or nothing besides required minimum anyways)
>even 100k in the market ain't shit and won't give you meaningful returns to pay for things because everything is so fucking expensive and gets worse every year >just to get to that level will take me many years
having an existential crisis. help
Christopher Barnes
i'm not a big fan of ETFs because they usually have 100-500 stocks, which means you're buying overvalued stocks. diversification doesn't really help you out much after 20-30 stocks in different sectors. Therefore I find it better to own 30 individual stocks that I can pick rather than something like QQQ. but that's just me.
Colton Thomas
The only time I ever made money on a stock was with ATVI last year, everything else I bought failed. I don't really get how reading charts helps me buy stocks when it just seems to be random anyways and I just want to hold long-term.
Luke Peterson
its a marathon not a sprint
buy things you think will be up ten years from now
then you wont panic and sell as soon as you go red
its more about reading companies than it is reading charts
also TA is a lagging indicator by definition, past success does not guarantee future success

If I make really good options plays, could I start charging Jow Forums to follow along? You kids have robinhood and other kiddie brokers w/ options chains, right?

Guessing you're a newfag for wanting to kys over a loss that happened one day He's asking "Are you still holding the stocks you lost money on, or did you sell them" If you're still holding onto them, then it would be smart to wait for them to go back up, assuming you didn't buy complete garbage companies
Huh the human body is a hell of a thing being able to survive so much

how come the future price isn't updating on investing.com? Where can I see the 24/7 price of S&P500 futures?
Julian Richardson
Red day overall but nothing broke support either. Is shrug day and wait and see.
News came out earlier than US Farm Bill final version includes legalization of hemp as an industrial crop. That's good for a lot of the CBD focused dude weed outfits.
Not for a while. It depends on how federal legalization plays out. Seems to be slippery slope in that direction going, and you'll almost certainly see candidates running with fed legal on their platform for the next election. The thing to look out for is solid progress towards fed legal followed by Constellation Brands exercising warrants and taking majority control of Canopy. That's when things get fun.
Canopy is hanging around lower trend line at the moment. Not a bad time to buy if you want to go long right now, however, I think it will drop down to around $41(CAN) again to test the trend a final time before breaking out of the descending triangle.
Baggie if we all pitched in could you ask this this chick if she’ll fuck herself with a dildo with “Rate Hike” written on it while screaming, “Fuck me harder Uncle Powell!”
+2% today. I've had a phenomenal week so far. Up 65% so far and plan on adding to that tomorrow.
Ryder Roberts
Interesting stuff. Personally I'm bullish on weed industry. It has too much going for it. Its the ultimate cool and trendy thing for zoomers, at the same time the medical benefits are super helpful to the boomers. And its used for a lot more than just smoking.
Thoughts on EMMBF? 3rd highest revenues in Canada I believe, they have a deal with APH to supply weed and are focused on value added products. Focused on alternative methods of consuming cannabis such as pills, sprays, vapes, topicals etc. Extended release pain relief pills coming out in January 2019. Could be a 10 bagger possibly imo
SPY calls tomorrow brother. China will bend at the knees this weekend.
David Thomas
I don't like the chart for a swing trade right now. Dunno enough about their wheelings and dealings to comment on future potential for a long hold. TA wise, it's firmly in a downtrend but, on the positive, it does have a clear support at $1.10(CAN) that has held a couple tests this year. I have it on watchlist waiting for a break out of the falling trend.
Noah Clark
i liked the Uncle Sam version better where she's reported to the IRS, but I'd throw a fiver in on this
Good fucking work to the user who was shilling CEI. Already lost .63 of my 7.15 investment.
Jason Harris
>Quite neutral and boring market still
Sort of, but things are right on the brink of making a definitive decision for future price trends. SP500 flirted with a breakout out of the short term descending trend today, sticking a wick out above it before closing as a doji for the day.
Good luck with that bro. S&P500 futures are already red.
Connor Wood
Was a mixed bag. Red day but I used it to increase my Armain stake (Armin did a dive but now it's recovered). Disney hiked the Div so I rewarded them by buying more Dis. Also bought some WTR. Having stock in a water and natural gas company is never a bad thing when the market shits. Also I like the way they constantly expand out so they ain't trapped by a single revenue stream or two. Rounded out the day by buying more KO and dumping more money into my VFORX fund.
Josiah Rodriguez
>thought about going all in on tnxp the other day >don't >goes from .4 to 9.5 essentially overnight
i have been kicking myself all fucking day

ooooooooooof user talk about once in a life time way to have made it
Organigram earnings out tomorrow. This thing will likely confirm the technical breakout in progress on earnings beat. Chart is right on the cusp. Beacon Securities is mad bullish on it too with a $11.50 price target.
Sometimes it's just a mater of luck. Then a lot of reading. That's how I hit on Armin. Saw the name banded about, visited the company website and read up on what they were doing. Read a few more bits about them on other sites. Decided that they had a product that was actually good w/a good shot of making it. Invested a small amount, to test the waters. Today I increased my stake. The potential payoff is huge with this one, it's no longer a "maybe" anymore. You know how popular the Viagra or Lipotor pill is? Well this has the same potential.
Ryan Harris
The only way to know about those is to be part of the Jew groups that pump those stocks.
