The token is not needed to put data on the blockchain. You can run a chainlink node on a permissioned chain and not deal with link tokens whatsoever.

It's always been known that you can establish a "free" node. The reputation and guarantee system require LINK. These things have always been known. I don't understand what the fuzz is all about.

Reasons why Tzero/Overstock use FLO
