Jow Forumsbros... PLEASE HELP

I have been a wagie for too fucking long now. I've been working retail since 2017 May and I've gone from $1.5k AUD to $34k in that time. But I can't fucking keep doing this shit. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME IDEAS ON WHAT I SHOULD DO, I CAN'T KEEP WORKING FUCKING RETAIL ESPECIALLY IN THIS FUCKING XMAS PERIOD

Move to a better country. One that's not a shithole.

Either that or sell shards. Fastest growing industry in Australia.

Where do you work? JB? Coles? Woolies?

OP you know the drill. Tell us some of your retail stories and we'll give you suggestions on how to get out.

Liquorland, Coles' liquor stores
Also yeah I do want to move from this country soon. Can't stand this fucking weather right now where I am (FNQ).

Fucking hell mate you get $34k a year for working at Liquorland? That's it? Are you full time or a casual? Still at uni?

Can you move? Tough to get ahead up north without a trade etc
I can give you a cubicle job in Sydney. Pretty mindless stuff - but beats retail

Nah not 34k a year, I meant I went from 1.5k to 34k in my savings.

Yeah I can probably move once Xmas period is done, one of my team members just got fired so it's just me and the manager working right now and it's horrible. Wouldn't want to leave him by himself

I don't have too many stories, I've had homeless people piss on the floor in the store and people hand me money covered in their literal shit. Had a lot of thieves and drunken brawls at the entrance too. Had a kid puke everywhere on the floor and then his Mum tried to catch the vomit and then she put her vomit-covered hands on my arms/hands. But nothing too exciting outside of that stuff

put 30k in BBN, thank me later

How old are you if you don't mind me asking? Still at uni? Live on your own?

$34k is pretty fucking impressive to have saved from wagecucking. You're clearly a smart dude. Don't put any of that shit into crypto, keep saving.

DON'T LISTEN TO THIS CUNT. Don't touch this crypto shit with a ten foot pole. You seem like one of the few smart ones, don't let these fucking losers convince you to ruin your life. Keep saving.

21, living with parents but I pay $100/week in rent.

The only reason why I'm interested in any form of crypto is because, according to my family, one of my Uncles is a millionaire from the crypto boom a while back

My sympathies, what hours are your shift? Sounds like you do a lot of night shift. Also I would keep that in cash and use it to invest in yourself (education, career path, certs, etc.), probably move most of it to a savings account or even a CD if you don't need the money upfront. Right now, everything I have is in cash. I have 10% of it in crypto, even then out of that pool only 30% of it is actually in some crypto (golden ratio). If you're really itching for risky investments then I would put no more than 10% of your cash reserves (so in your case $2k AT MAX, ideally less than this amount) and only draw from that pool. This requires a lot of discipline. But honestly, you should use that cash (and time and persistence) to invest in yourself instead of "investing" in coins that folks visiting your store are probably buying.

buy a house/condo in 6 months, your guys' market just tanked. get that money ball rolling.

Correction: I converted your savings to USD which is around $24k so not bad at all, I'm not really impressed by the number itself but more impressed by your character given your age and job title, keep it up and BE SMART. There are more things to invest in besides crypto and stocks.

Mate, your uncle got lucky. If anything try and work for him.

If not, save your money until you can afford to open up a business. Hell you can start something up right now with the $34k you have, especially if you live in FNQ. It's far better than investing into this monopoly money

Yeah I work only night shift. This entire year, I've had 6 morning shifts. And the night shifts are primarily by myself too because the company can't afford to have 2 people on at night. It's not so bad being able to sleep in and not have to worry about getting up early but I don't know, working 3-9pm feels like your entire day is taken away.

I did try doing higher education (bachelor business degree) but it made me really depressed so I deferred for now. There's only two Universities within like 1000kms of my city and they are both shit quality. So if I was going to try again, I'd have to move across the country

Any recommendations for a first-time business? I'd rather not get into the cafe/restaurant meme because I've already seen two people I know rack up a shit ton of debt from their failed cafes.

OP I know that people say don't touch crypto but you have 34k saved up which is a decent amount.

You need to put 3k into chainlink right now. 3k is small enough compared to your 34k and the returns will be insane. So you aren't risking much at all.

You see how this board is non stop about chainlink

Do you have any interests that you can see yourself turning into a business?

From the info you've given me, how about starting up a low-cost bottleshop? You have the knowledge and experience for running it, and you can easily undercut Coles if you're the only person working there and you don't have the massive overheads that massive corporations have. You also know the market very well since you've been working there.

DON'T LISTEN TO THIS CUNT. Chainlink is a fucking scam and these idiots will realize this soon enough. All these fuckers are trying to sell you shit that they own stakes in and are gunning for your money. Don't fall for it.

Wait isn't everything upside down in australia. Shouldn't you be getting a lambo while we're getting liquidated?

Pretty sure how it works.

1. take any distance learning course from any oz uni, however shitty you think it is.
2. apply for work in indonesia, malaysia or brunei as a ((consultant)).
3. enjoy traveling and making mint at your age.

thank me later

Put your $34k in ETFs or LICs and start earning dividends on that cash. If you hate your job quit it, move to a bigger city and look for work you like, or at least don't hate.

Try a bunch of jobs until you find something you actually like, then you can consider studying. Only if you absolutely need it though, 90% of the time uni is a waste of time and money that would be better spent working a real job or starting a business.

This is the stupidest fucking advice ever. We've had interest rates criminally suppressed at 0% for almost a fucking decade. The market is going to get so fucked soon. And we will have a currency crisis

OP listen.... first off don't put a cent into the Jew rigged market. It's all going to come crashing down. Do like I said above... throw 3k into link (which isn't that much)

Also this is of utmost importance. Put 10k into gold and silver bullion. Because when a currency crisis hits the transfer of wealth will be immense to those holding gold after the deflationary collapse of all asset prices.

Back in Weimar Republic Germany there was a hotel slave wagecuck working as a bellcap... much like you.... he saved up 25 ounces of gold. And during the hyperinflation of Weimar Germany he was able to buy an entire city block with a measly 25 ounces of gold.

You need to realie that your wage bucks aren't getting you ahead because of massive inflation because we aren't on a gold standard anymore.

I know your prob a millennial and don't understand this shit but you MUST put at least 10k of that 34k into gold and or silver before the banks fail and theirs a currency collapse.

Fucking spoiled cunts. I'm working my ass off in my shithole of a country just so I can be eligible to apply for Australian Visa.
Complaining about the weather, you soft arse? Try Siberia. No, for real, come here, spend a couple months, then fuck off to Australia, kiss it's soil and shut your mouth about it, pal
Cheers
