On major airlines, pretty safe.

On 3rd world shithole airlines...you're fucked.

Very safe.

getting rapped
then being boiled
then you get kidnapped

you have 1 in 2 million chance of crashing too

safer than driving a car

Aerospace engineer here,
Planes are safu, engineers are not. Thats why i don't fly with any airline that is maintained outside of the western world.

Can you give us a list of companies that do this shit?

that's a retarded comparison, since it depends entirely on where you drive the car, and how good the car is (grip, handling, brakes etc), how skilled you re, if you're sober or intoxicated, many factors.

Don't do it user

its completely random.

>muh maintenance
this shit won't safe you if the pilots fuck up for some reason.

Literally any airline that is maintained in africa, middle east (except emirates, their workers are mainly expats anyway), east asia (apart from singapore airlines, again their engineers are expats). I know of a certain middle east company that buys aircraft parts from china to save costs and even manufactures their own parts... that might not sound like a big deal but some hydraulic systems operate at 3000 PSI, the slightest defect and a part will fail. Stick to caucasian maintained planes and you won't go far wrong.

is JAL no good? My plan was to use JAL and Singapore Airlines while I travel around asia.

>Stick to caucasian maintained planes and you won't go far wrong.
>oops overworked pilot (which can be a nigger or a woman nowadays) accidentally forgot to push a button and the thing crashes head on into a mountain

Its even quite hard for a pilot to crash a plane. Although most crashes are caused by pilot error, think of how many millions of flights there are a year and how many crashes there are.
And in my experience, of all the black and arab people I've worked with, their attitude and work ethic is... relaxed to say the least.

I would trust the Japanese, most people may not realise but their engineering is some of the best in the world and they have high standards

depends on what and where you fly as well you brainlet but OP wasn't being specific

>3rd world shithole airlines...you're fucked
Even on a 3rd world country you're more likely to die on a traffic accident on the way to the airport than on the flight itself.

dont fly in the daytime

much safer per mile than driving, though more fatalities per hour compared to driving.

Maybe it's just autism, but I've read that the first 30 seconds after take off and the last 30 seconds before landing are the most dangerous.

So, I just count to 30 when I'm taking off and when I get to 30, I feel safer.

Literally safer than driving.

But if something goes wrong I imagine it's a much more horrible death.

This is sort of true.

Landing and taking off are the most dangerous parts, but they both usually last more than 30 seconds

take off is the worst.

If you fly with any major US carrier or Western European one you'll be fine. Training and maintenance starts to get shaky when you get into Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia. Oh, and the Middle East (the rich arabs at least) are pretty solid. China sucks too, but the Japs are good. As far as the airplanes go if you're flying a Boeing, Airbus, or any other western made heavy you'll be fine. All else are shitty.

You have no concept of US airline culture. Its very much a good ol boys club and you can literally count on one hand all the female and POC pilots. You're thinking of the ATC scandal when they lowered their standards. Pilots don't have that problem because its still mostly a meritocracy.

> inb4 muh US ATC is so bad the planes will crash

Ya it just reverts to a pilot controlled field via UNICOM you dumb fuck worst case scenario, everyone will be fine. I fly my plane in and out of a field without a tower all the time.
Kind of, they are critical times.

Any opinions on the planes manufactured by Embraer?

Safe because whites make the aircraft and it's beyond the iq of non-whites.

China still hasn't made their own airliner independently

Ive flown with Air Koryo over 20 times and have felt safe as fuck not sure who they are getting to service their planes i assume chinese, but it was voted the worst airline in the world which i find hard to believe.

They're fine.

>nigger groud crew accidentally left tape over the pitot tube so it doesnt work ooopsi
>crash into the ground and die

begin in a box in the sky? Much safe than being in a box with wheel crowded by other boxes with wheels driving bumper to bumper at 75 mph

First time flying and those were definitely the most terrifying

I’m OP if you couldn’t figure it out.

Once the plane hits v2 speed i believe on the takeoff it has to take off fucked or not

Or is it v1?

watch this OP it will help, it cured my fears

> implying that mechanics unions aren't the same way

In a way you're kind of right though, but that was mostly an Airbus problem until those niggers at boeing disclosed that there was undefined procedural behavior with the 737. I will also concede that a lot of pilots at the majors never touch little airplanes again once they get there (or even the regionals for that matter) so they lose that stick and rudder flying skills.

> sad

> v1 rotate

safer than crypto

Emirates first class= god tier

I only fly with with Cathay Pacific. Great meals and flight prices and gorgeous asians working aboard. Always a good time.
