Meditation is great. Basically make your brain shut the fuck up, not judge the thoughts and you are calm.

Thunderstorms and oceans were ok, but I could always notice the repetition. The spoken word stuff worked better for me and also has ambient sound generally. Michael Sealey is always in my recommendations so I just put on whatever pops up.

thanks frens. ill try to do this. ive tried to force myself to meditate but i literally cant keep my focus for more than a minute at best. i read a book on mindfulness and it helped a bit though.

i've been addicted to klonopins before. it's hard to resist them yeah but I realized that the anxiety/insomnia was much better than the withdrawals so now i'm able to resist them very well. i still use them for interviews, presentations, etc. wouldn't have landed my current job without these.

i also buy other shit without the same route of action (lyrica, kava, kratom, racetams, theanine, etc) so I can get some relief without having to resort to benzos.

A tired body is a tired mind. Don't confuse the exhaustion of anxiety for anything other than stimulation.

You might have sleep apnea. Those are very easily identifiable with a sleep study, and if you do then they give you a CPAP device and you'll be good to go. (could also be a deviated septum or something giving you trouble)

I do man. I'm not a complete shut in. Even when I work my body out and feel like I literally can't do more, my mind keeps racing and thirsting for more. How do I tire my mind out?

Listen to Alan Watts lectures, at the very least it'll put you to sleep and best case scenario might cure your existentialism.

Yeah, I use a CPAP and I check my data every day. Problem is my apneas are extremely long at such high pressures that I can't even tolerate. I also had a deviated septum and turbinates worked on and still feels like sucking air through a straw on one side of my nose. I've got some other possible solutions lined up though. I have pretty severe insomnia on top of that.

Sleep is the backbone of life, but ironically the more you know that, the more you stress and struggle to sleep. I hope you'll get your anxiety issues under control eventually. I'm about to try CBT-I myself, have you tried it?

Haven't heard of this but just googled it and seems interesting, thanks. Definitely something I should try. When I went to my doctor for sleep trouble he straight up gave me ambien instead of recommending therapy first lol.
