Now that some of the enthusiasm for Chainlink is starting to die down, and Jow Forums in general is beginning to accept some of the correct things "fudders" have been trying to tell you with regards to chainlink and kaleido, I wanted to share another thing I think Jow Forums is now ready to hear, which I suspect is news to some of you.

Read the image and let that sink in. A lot of the examples of chainlink uses that get thrown around are dumb. Chainlink's real use is limited to the few occasions when you truly need trustlessness, otherwise you can just go right back to the complaints department with your receipt (i.e., check the historical data of whatever the oracle was supposed to be returning) and get a refund. Chainlink still has a LOT of use cases, but some of the examples here are just not realistic at all.

Don't trust me, trust the developers involved in Axa's Fizzy. Posting the thread for further reference. Please ask any questions as necessary.

Listen I genuinely care about about Anons financial well being. Its hard as shit to get ahead in life now, not just working 9-5 for the rest of your life. The sooner you start saving the sooner you can get ahead in life.

Chainlink is a meme started by Jow Forums (an infamous trolling board) to lead people to financial ruin. This is NOT A JOKE. Don't let your saved wealth be thrown away over night.

Vitalik Buterin the creator of ethereum said himself the days of making x100 or x1000 are over, that right the guy who created the second most popular crypto said himself those days are over.

Now Jow Forums is trying to get people to lose even more money after the December/January bloodbath. Smart money already exited the crypto world. Crypto is basically a highly specialized database, companies don't need this. They will just create their own private blockchains. There is no need for crypto chainlink isn't even needed to run the nodes. Think XRP when you think chainlink. The company ripple (smartcontracts) is doing well but the coin XRP(chainlink) isn't even needed for the companies technology.

Considering what Vitalik said "The days of making x100 or x1000 returns are over." Chainlink needs a 399900% increase in price over the next couple of months to reach $1000 this is ludicrous. Don't fall for it, chainlink its a meme to fuck you over.

Consider this for chainlink at current price to reach $1 you need an increase of 700% or a 233% increase every month until EOY.

This is a Jow Forums meme to siphon money out of the hands of the already vulnerable.

Ouch.

>why would we do something with an automated self executing system for a couple cents when we can pay a human to do it and potentially fuck it up

That dev is a brainlet is the simple explanation

You use a chat room with avatar pictures where everyone is a namefag. Do you ever think about that?

I actually don't use discord for that reason but I do monitor it. I expect them to post this thread there soon though and come up with some stupid reason why this is "fud." They're largely as dumb as Jow Forums but the pictures give them some air of authority that makes them think they're smarter than they are.

No one here is falling for this shit tier fud.

Back to discord you pajeet

people just don't understand how pointless chainlink's network is.

if chainlink's concept (putting data from apis onto ethereum) became popular, apis would simply start signing their own api calls to prove they came directly from the site, similarly to how bip-70 prevents mitm attacks on addresses for merchants.

when you do that, you can actually validate the api data directly on ethereum isself. you can simply post the data you got from the api onto ethereum via a dapp function call, and the contract checks that the signature matches the public signature that was trusted by the contract, in the same way chainlink pulls data from the api url or urls that was trusted by the dapp developer.

businesses dont want to use an unnecessarily middleman service when they would want to directly trust the apis they were using, via signatures. and if this is a popular method used for oracles, as chainlink proponents seem to think it is, the apis themselves will absolutely get on board and start providing directly signed data themselves, which they would want to, to prevent tampering of their own api data.

chainlink npc error

>Vitalik said
Vitalik is a commie cuck who thinks ETH should have topped out at a maximum of $15. It then proceeded to 100x.

>chainlink its a meme to fuck you over
you know whales are reading here as well, do you fucktard?

I’m u/bananacat ask me anything.

The op isn’t being entirely useful quel surprise

the whole point of chainlink is to reduce the need for humans to do anything like check a receipt and ask for a refund. christ this fud is retarded.

How new are you?

>You use a chat room with avatar pictures where everyone is a namefag
i only ever discuss crypto on Jow Forums, i cant afford to even associate a pseudonym to my crypto holdings

Ohhhh very, and they are still shilling link.

*hits npc in the head*
fucking bugs

What is the point of this smart contract? The contract creator has to manually update flight information and the contract is not even able to pay the insurance.
So you still need to trust whoever is supposed to pay and there is zero automation, what the fuck?

in since 13 cent schwuchtel

>when we can pay a human to do it and potentially fuck it up
are you retarded? do you really think they manually input the landing times?

oh idk, I didn't actually look at the contract, I assumed they rolled their own simple oracle.

>I’m u/bananacat ask me anything.

asl

AWS (yes THE AMAZON WEB SERVICES) is going to use LINK

fuck off with this FUD

You fell for pasta retartd

>there are people on this board RIGHT NOW who have been waiting for a year and will be waiting for years for "the singularity" while scammers holding 85% of the tokens bleed every last NEETbuck from them
It would be sad if you weren't spamming every serious discussion lol

link tards are retards haha

Read the pic in OP.
He's talking about people only taking seconds to verify landing times.

he's talking about users that bought the insurance which are going to verify the claim anyway

Them too, sure.

32/male/Rotterdam Coast

The guy responding to me was later found not to be employed by Fizzy. I put Thomas on to the topic and he said that one of the team would reach out.

I am getting so rekt right now !!!

>AWS (yes THE AMAZON WEB SERVICES) is going to use LINK
Wtf? That's just the kaleido presentation

Kaleido offers a toolbox for building blockchain stuff and one of the tools in that toolbox is ChainLink. That doesn't mean AWS is using ChainLink, though.

>The guy responding to me was later found not to be employed by Fizzy.
No fuckin way. If true, that is some goddamn evil fud. Answering as if you're a partner, Jesus Christ.

yea i'm sure someone was larping as an AXA employee in the same thread as the first time the contract address was shared. Let me guess, it's a psyop to depress the price of link so AXA deepwater jews can accumulate before you, right?

AWS offers Kaleido, which in turn offers Chainlink.
What don't you understand?

Kaleido is not part of Amazon and surely not the only company offering tools on aws.

are you trolling or just retarded? Is Amazon partnered with Astroglide anal lube because you can buy it on Amazon? This is a simple analogy but it fits surprisingly well.

Actually, I think Kaleido has a legit "partnership" with AWS (i.e., does not just use it or is for sale on it).

Again, what the fuck don't you understand?
When people go to AWS for services involving smart contracts, they'll be using Chainlink.

>Is Amazon partnered with Astroglide anal lube because you can buy it on Amazon?
Because that's the same thing right, lmao.

but you're right, they aren't part of Amazon.

Nobody said they were.

Astroglide is middleware, so yeah, it kinda is.

*Grabs you by the throat*
Back the fuck off?!??!

hush user, you do not know at all what you're talking about. that's okay, but just keep quiet and learn. you probably work retail or not at all (and not because you "made it").

k

Later post from human_gamepad:

>Hey guys :) I am indeed not the accredited spokeperson for fizzy so I deleted some of my comments (the discussion around Chainlink also got pretty heated in the original post!)

You were saying?

Fuck I meant this guy

Wow.

whhheewwww thank you user. my buzz for the evening was about to die. thanks for saving.

I buy something online, and once UPS actually delivers it to my doorstep I'll pay for it. That is a smart contract + oracle.

Shit fud. Shit thread. Thanks for contributing OP
