>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy? Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.
mother fucking cock sucker PDT rule, can't fucking make $100 turn into 10 grand in a day with this shit.

Mark it. Today is the day the bears were told to cut it out and this has been quite enough already and you've had your fun and we have lost patience with your games.

I'm planning on making WTR a long term hold and dollar-cost averaging into it for years It still has a gap to $38 to fill, and the fact that it's a large water utility makes it a safe hold during a recession In the long term, companies like this are just slow, steady rides up
DIng ding ding! How did everyone do today? I’m up .07%, I’m too busy at work to even look at my port, I’m in the bathroom right now. I’m told today was a wild ride, fucking pissening I want to trade!
Good day. +5% overall. Salty about missing the Aphria squeeze.

my father is only saving his money and not investing in anything except some real estate. he asked me what to buy for a fairly short investment horizon (1-3 years). no leverage but I can adjust the position size of course. target volatility of maybe 3% p.a. or less would be ideal. what do I tell him? I only know how to trade btc and I'm not going to use his money for that. bonds? but how do you invest in them best? buying some etf or literally bonds? fixed rate, floating rate, corporate, government, ...? or gold? I'm not going to tell him to buy stocks right now as I would prefer him to not get rekt.

why would someone both want to be a day trader and pay for someone to teach them how to be one

short term, it's anyone's guess. mine is that the 10yr yields got just shitty enough that people dont want them (under 3%) and big players don't really want to sit in cash due to inflation, so the money flows to one of the only other places it can -- equities.

Hey, guy who said he was going all in on APHA yesterday here. I did it.
>Are we just going to ignore that head and shoulders on SPY?
It's not a head and shoulders. The shoulders aren't supposed to be roughly level with the top of the head. There was a double top, dump, nominally lower high, dump, and now today's green dildo on a rope. The lower trend line held, which is why there was good buy volume towards end of day.
