Brainlet here.
Who the fuck is buying when the momentum is going down hard? I'm watching big buy orders going in while it continues to drop. Can somebody please explain who and why somebody wants to get rid of their money so fast?

Well u got one thing right. The brainlet part
people who believe they can sell it for more than they are paying right now
people remember this was 1400 10 months ago and think that this might be the bottom. They're wrong obviously but that's the thought process
The chances of buying exact bottom is about 0, so many grab at levels they assume will be at or close to the bottom. You have to admit it's much closer here than it was at say 500 for ETH 6k for BTC and 150 for LTC
every sell is a buy, remember that
it can literally only drop down 84 more dollars
i do buy i have about 17k so i decided i will go slowly in that doesn't mean i will buy right now for 17k but i did buy one bitcoin and 10 eth next buy is at 2.5k and then 1k i will go all in
If you buy when its already going back up you're too late and missed most of the profits.
Buying the panic sells is super profitable because a small (local) rebound is almost guaranteed.
Thanks for the replies.
Catching falling knives is fun! lulz
I just REALLLLLY want to see this faggot liquidated
Seems like the guy never sleeps, constantly watching

Makes sense.
>trading your money for imaginary money
>in order to trade it for imaginary money.
Buy high sell low brainlet, it is the biz way for 90% of the morons that post here. Anybody that believes in the technology should be filling bags right now. Companies have invested HUGE funds into developing block chain technology and Smartcontracts. If you think this is all going by the wayside because of a temporary price drop, you should maybe spend your day playing slots at a casino instead of worrying about the future of financial processes.
It's not a guy. It's a hedge fund, dumbass.
Buying once a reversal is confirmed is a better long term strategy than buying a free fall.
what "confirms" to you that a reversal is "confirmed"? what if you're wrong?
and what a profitbable boomer fund it is lmao
It’s impossible to time the bottom. If you feel confident that ETH is significantly undervalued (I’m not necessarily saying that it is) then it’s a no-brainer to be accumulating at these levels. If a whale thinks ETH is significantly undervalued then buying enough ETH before it goes back up is his main priority.
I watched guys filling their ETH bags the other day at $125. Those bags are now worth $87. That hurt$.
The chart paints some green candles and starts moving up? Is this a trick? Of course you could always be wrong, but waiting until a support is found and beginning to bounce up will be a better long term play than just buying hoping for a bottom. I suppose a lot of this depends on what time frame you operate, I prefer taking longer positions based on monthly/weekly/daily charts. If you're just day trading and scalping then shorter timeframes are more useful, but that's not really my forte.
>The chart paints some green candles and starts moving up?
Where have you been all year? You get a 1.5% increase then it goes down 4% the next day.
>I'm watching big buy orders going in while it continues to drop
whales trying to stabilize the market, it won't work, whatever value it crashes to the basic thing is that the only real value crypto has is to buy black market goods through the mail, if darkweb stops accepting it you know it's totally dead
On a weekly/monthly candle? Stop trading short time frames if you can't figure out good entry and exit points.
If you base yourself purely on technicals, I agree. But fundamentals are much more important in crypto.
If you know the drop is caused by illogical thinking and people overreacting (e.g. fud, or panic selling after a whale marketsells) , its much easier to call the bottom and estimate the odds of a rebound. If price falls for no real reason, it's likely going to trend towards its previous baseline.
Looks like ETH is heading for it's previous baseline of $11.
I don't disagree that you have to look at the whole picture. Current market sentiment, news related to the individual project, plus technical stuff. However, what is the root cause of Eth dropping so hard? Is it falling for no reason?
We hit support on a falling wedge. Bounce up of 20-40% is basically guaranteed.
>Bounce up of 20-40% is basically guaranteed.
nothing is guaranteed, other things you have hundreds of years of recorded statistics, this thing you have basically a few seconds, of course it won't last, unless the military decides it should
People try to buy the bottom. Buying lower = lower financial risk & greater potential financial reward.
He bought ze dip
Its not falling as hard as EOS right now. So its got that going for it.
It's future millionaires at work, user.
But can go up 1316 to old ATH.
And maybe some 5000 over that...
It's just following BTC.
The bitcoin ratio has been taking a huge beating too though. Not to mention ETH falling behind XRP. I think people's doubts about ETH scaling are making the drop worse on top of bitcoin dropping.
Yeah the scaling FUD is spreading.
There is always FUD spreading.
Until that big green dildo smashes through everyone's ass and they miss 100% over night.
I bought some, so I hope you're right. The FUD has worked though, lots of people totally lost faith. Despite starting to buy now, I wouldn't be shocked if it went to 15 bucks or something crazy like that (1 billion cap).
Dca and/or knife catching are the commonly accepted reasons
Everyone i have talked to IRL has given up long ago. They don't even look at their shit or have sold it all off.
We are close.
CDP holders. It turns out having people use your coins for things can actually help support the price. WEIRD HUH
All I'm seeing is buy, dump, repeat. It seems like someone is buying up coins just to dump them to make the price go lower.
Why would CDP holder want to buy ETH you idiot? As if that’s ever worked for the past 10 months
you nailed it . smartest guy here
Mathematically impossible
I'm going 10x long on eth right now, we gonna see a deadcat bounce soon
Your cat bounced for 10 minutes.
you're gonna look so silly in 12 months
>trading your money for imaginary money
>implying that paper money is not imaginery.
As I said, Jow Forums is full of lows.
Make the price go super low to as fast as possible and we can begin a comfy bull run sooner than later.
