Good luck user. I have mild autism and might have responded like this 10 years ago. It gets better for a lot of us, if we're truly interested in trying to understand. Try really hard to understand people, and I mean really understand them, as in trying to understand how they think and feel and try to think and feel that from inside your head as if you're an actor, simulating it, not superficially categorize them as "they are this kind of person and that kind of person does that kind of thing". That's how you can develop true empathy, and starting late in life, you can end up being more conscious and systematic in your understanding than those who got the "free" neutorypical ride and learned automatically from experience at the ages 9-20.
