And after that you have jetlag - like how is it in a somewhat sane relation to spend thousand of dollars for a plane ticket? And then you need to spend DOUBLE the amount to actually go home back again. And thats not even hotel or anything included

well as far as I know popular places like Japan can go for over 1000 round trip. If you travel to countries that are closer or domestically it's pretty cheap, I often can do a round trip within the US for $100

When two countries have strong military and deep state connections, the flights are cheaper because the airlines can be trusted in the airspace, which is fundamentally a military risk (flights are cheaper because the military can 'vet' that the flight is from an allied military'). So only fly between countries that have military and diplomatic ties and it will be cheap. otoh, you can travel cheaper than most normies if you actually take the effort to plan and organise things carefully. and choose cheap locations. SEA is popular for a reason, once you are there it is dirt cheap, the flight is the most expensive thing.

I work for a big airline company (Lufthansa) from home.
Call center job. It sucks but they unironically give me 90% discount on flights everywhere.
But going alone to weird places of the world sucks because people screw you over for being white caucasian. You gotta have somebody to talk to.

said it, credit. Also inheritances, trust funds and accumulated savings. I used to know a guy who would work himself like a dog for months at a time to save up for several week long trips to Europe. Guy worked 6 day 70 hour work weeks, came home exhausted every day, had no life, and basically just sacrificed those months of normal wagecucking for a few weeks of travel about twice a year.
Basically, either borrowed money they don't have, or money that just fell into their laps.

You need to order your tickets way in advance if you want to get cheap international flights, at least that's been my experience.
When I was younger I did working + travelling. Staying at hostels for $10 a night, working like 4- hours during the day for like $30. Enough for food, hostel, and a tiny bit more. Met lots of chicks doing this, and god knows why but they liked me. Maybe because I was foreign since I was a traveler idk

One of the perks of living in super expensive Norway is that vacations are "cheap". I don't really have to save up as a 2 way plane ticket to bangkok cost 600eur. I'm wagecucking next to school for 17eur/h after tax. That's 35 hours of work and considering I spend a good deal of my workday browsing biz it's not that bad. Once in Bangkok I spend about as much money as I do at home since everything is so expensive I can eat at the best restaurants for the same amount as it costs to make some chicken pasta home kek
