Can YouTube be replaced? How?

People are fed up of YouTube.

They censor people, they demonetise for no reason and the even remove videos.

There is a gap in the market for a video hosting platform that doesnt do any of these things. How realistic is it that a fresh video hosting website who is completely neutral and fair take over the video hosting market?

not possible, youtube is too big to fail and it would cost billions to build the infrastructure to store that many videos and the millions of dollars a day in bandwidth consumed

FLO and the Open Index Protocol. Check out Alexandria.

Youtube users are adopting Brave by the truck load. A lot of the top million+ subscribers have been verified and are already profiting. When ads launch expect a huge surge. Web 3.0 is right around the corner. Are you ready anons?

Y'see I never even heard of Brave. Why arent the marketing themselves?

>what is pornhub

Thats what I was thinking, which is why if it did happen it would have to grow in popularity gradually.

I was thinking it could start hosting for a niche community and then start reaching out to the wider world from there? Definately a riskless option, otherwise the other option is trying to do it quickly by investing millions into buying servers and advertising you dont even need yet.

it won't be a catastrophic failure. it will be a slow slip into irrelevance over time. same thing happened to myspace, same thing happening to facebook now.

Now that you say that it does seem like its growth is slowing down but YouTube is still peaking.

What does its stocks say? I guess they are now growing slower? (sorry I dont know much about stocks, only the simplest shit)

IPFS + Crypto

YouTube can only die by shooting itself in the foot. Which it might actually do a things considered. It depends on how hard they want to fuck over "content creators" i.e. the actual revenue streams of their site.

So was MySpace. People will gradually migrate to sites that don't fuck them over.

bitchute (bit-chute), dtube, peertube

I prefer peertube but needs ipfs backend

Do you want young content creators?

Failing to see what her advantages are compared to YouTube.

Are you fucking retarded? It's like replacing iOS or Android with some new shitty OS. It's impossible, it'd cost a shit ton of money. Any alternative would just crash immediately, because of the increasing load of new users. You need especial cloud infrastructure for this, several squads of good software developers (not some fucking poojeets).
Also, nobody would give a single fuck about creating some new content on your platform if you don't have a way for monetization. Goolag is not just about fucking youtube, it's completely about money, ads, context ads, they are #1 monopoly in it. fuck you

You win this prize for not reading any of the replies ITT. Congratulations!

lol, i really didn't read before answering

Also, please consider to listen to my 3 hour long collection of stolen vaporwave music, good sirs.

not to forget youtube have lost their way. it was supposed to be about "you" and me yet in the latest "youtube rewind" they have celebrities such as will smith and features such as video reply has been long removed. it's getting more and more corporate

i don't understand why they want 70s TV back, can't even swear or talk about issues such as rape. people need to self-censor themselves, thus can't be themselves on "you"-tube. that's a problem.

70s TV was actually better because in those days you at least knew exactly what you could and could not say on TV, there were clear lists. now with youtube they make really vague rules and people don't even really know what is allowed or not allowed. it's fully intentional from alphabet's part as well.
