>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy? Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.
I am genuinely thinking about just buying QQQ/SPY with my $1k a month additions, been investing for just under a year so I currently have around $10k split 50/50~ between SSO and QLD. They certainly are the much better idea on low volatility bull markets, but we areup and down enough right now it may be right to start lowering my leverage by buying 1x ETFs.
Im not selling though, dont want to deal with the taxes stuff and my time horizon is about 15~ years until retirement, I can wait.
Do you do any TA with the ichi cloud? The strategy might be to buy 2x ETFs when everything points bullish, and 1x ETFs when we are looking bearish. DCA into everything no matter what, keep adding principal, but leverage up and down as the markets look sketchy or ideal. reposted for this bro to see
as much shit as I give day trading, day trading small amounts of things like TVIX and SVXY seems like a decent way to make a bit of extra money in a volatile market environment like this
No we must not. The petrodollar is vital to world peace. I hope the US can be great again and that the rest of the world can live under the dollar hegemony.

world reserve you have largest economy backing it up, euro are you have people losing faith cause they cannot raise rates and see there is a huge problems ahead
stock market correlates very much now with 10 year cbt 10/5 first dip then 8/11 another rally. when 10 year notes calm down stock market calms down too
Idiot, we did this to ourselfs. We let these fucking (((elites))) dupe us into debt, just so they could consolidate wealth into their own hands like in 2008. Free money? golden bullrun? there are no such things. The economy nowadays is just a never ending stream of gov:t micromanagements. Capitalism? No, were are an oligarchy you bitch. There is no free market. And because of this the economy is hugely inefficient, which is revealed at moments like this. Meanwhile we get robbed of our earnings to fuel and endless administrative machine that gives us a penny for the dollar. No man, we did this. We let the state grow, we embraced economic stimulus from big brother, we did nothing when they helped the banks rob us....
We are fools

this is the SPY daytrading golden age
after this whatever phase is over it will never have this much liquidity while having this much volatility ever again
True, we are entering deflationary stage. But we are in a unique position, with no ability to lower interest rates for stimulus. The good old printing press might come into use
this. i'm feathering some cash into emerging bond fund etf. the only bonds I have are a part of my income fund mutual fund. i'll see how it plays out. still most of my money will remain to be continually invested for a set amount on a scheduled date to take advantage of dollar cost averaging.

He must be anticipating a sell off prior to the actual day. Then muted action on day until speech. I'm ready. Gonna get a comfy CD with ally for cool 3% by next month. Plus I'm employed and even though that's a risky field to be fired in a crash I got cash ready for a stock market crash.

BUY TVIX as SP500 futures will crumble overnight as le drumph man will surely tweet and Asian markets will surely bleed

We need to keep inflation down somehow. And in countries like sweden they have negative interest rates (the central bank giving the banks money for free).

Nothing. Student debt is till you die.

I’m 100% in low cost short term bond funds and will remain in it for at least a year. Being in equities right now is absolutely not worth the risk.
Andrew James
who here /comfy/ watching bulls slowly capitulate before the panic sets in?
i'm a long term hodler. i lived through the 2008 crash and i'll survive through this one. averaging down makes the ride up that much sweeter. plus the increased divvy yield gets locked in with the investments near the bottom.
Samuel Rivera
Is it possible that something will trigger inflation to get out of control?

>Then muted action on day until speech. Since you guessed my prediction i might as well share. Im too much of a pussy to hold 15x leverage during wednesday, gonna sell on tuesday dip and then sit on the cash. I have already made a decent profit, so it's ok. For any user with a deathwish it would be a hell of a way to make it though, betting it all on a rape hike.
There is no shit to hit the fan though. There is no bankrucpty option, no debtors jail, etc. Banks can only hurt your credit score over time. Cant do much otherwise. Maybe wage garnishing.

WELCOM TO BEAR MARKET WE'RE JUST LOOSING GAINS WE'VE GOT EVERYTHING YOU WANT, LAD, AS LONG AS IT ENDS IN PAIN.
Wasn’t around for 08 but crypto has scarred me for life. Didn’t sell the top and made less than I could have. I’d rather make zero than risk taking a sudden hit again.
I am, but I'd be a lot comfier if I didn't cut out early today and would have been around to catch the short opportunity that basically had arrows and neon lights pointing at it. So disappointed that I can barely look at my watch list which is why I'm here. Seeing people standing in front of a freight train is just an added morbid bonus that makes me not feel as bad.
Not even worth trying to play it on Wednesday desu. Could randomly pump ahead of time or even dump based just on some rumors. Then the actual speech can send it flying opposite direction. Better to just go short or long after speech.

-----> And incompetent government in general. The hyperinflation in weimar germany was because the government funded socialist strikes in the ruhr area with printed money.
Since the democrats most likely will be in charge by the middle of the downturn, that might very well happen.
>Literally last week of the year >Instead of a year end rally we are having some of the worst losses in history
When will this shit end? What does 2019 have in store? Are we really headed into a recession, or is it already here?

We crypto now bobo. Only boomers now instead of zoomers.

long term bulls don't panic, we have iron grips and buy the dips. we cost average down and we do it without a frown. we know the future is bright, and bears can suck my dick until my head is light.
based bull run will have a set back in 2020 then dow 40K in 2025

I would like to have a word with the man and his wife's son's stock portfolio who kept saying 'S&P500 3,000 EOY'. I certainly hope that by 3,000 you meant the entire market cap?
