I am planning to do a lot of job interviews once I have straight teeth in 6-9 months according to the ortho, that is why at the moment that is more of a priority for me. Having the wisdom teeth removed prior to the process will only delay the invisalign more, if it can be done anytime I would rather do it after i have straight teeth than before, it’s a normal thought right? Btw its christmas and newyear so i don’t really spend that time crying myself to sleep everyday eating stuff with straws in my bed

My fault for deforming my palate through thumb sucking and needing braces I guess, would have had straight teeth otherwise.

I went to a new dentist, all women office.
They commented that "Boys don't know how to take care of their teeth" I shit you not.
Never had any cavities in my life. They find 2. Fine, we get them filled.
Later, they say they found 2 more. Went to another dentist "You don't have any cavities user"
I ask that dentist every time, and it's been 5 years. No cavities.
One of the biggest regrets I have is not reporting that dentist for insurance fraud - that's what they're doing you know...They perform procedures on patients who do not need them so they can bill the insurance companies.
If a dentist EVER tells you that you have cavities and you do take care of your teeth, document it, get a 2nd opinion, and report it to your health insurance company. They will be more interested in investigating it than anyone because it's their $ on the line

Maybe you guys will be fine with wisdom teeth, but I'm thinking decades down the line. The longer you wait for something like that the more you have to pay for it later (whether in pain or in cost)

There are companies that will allow you to DIY aligners after you get an initial scan from them. The problem is if you're like OP and have more underlying problems then you probably need a professional constantly inspecting your mouth.

I went through smiledirectclub, their customer support is shit tier. I think they charge $2100 now but have plenty of coupons out there. I was able to get a christmas deal for half off and paid $925 up front for mine. I got it knocked down to $725 with free retainers since the ones they sent me were not my teeth at all. I had to get rescanned and it sucks cuz I think these retainers don't hold my gap as well unless I wear them a little bit more than just at nighttime. I also had to spend a month getting the proper ones by constantly phoning them and emailing them daily since their customer support are just 2nd world copy and paste drones.
