Recently I got my degree and i started working at a company making pretty shitty wage(30k a year) doing graphic design. Any of you have an idea how I can use my skills on the side to make more money? Or even just passive income?
Recently I got my degree and i started working at a company making pretty shitty wage(30k a year) doing graphic design...
I'll tell you for $100 bitcoin
Your startup cost is about $12-$20k however
I have exactly $3.30 in bitcoin, I will give it all to you.
Do one of those contracting sites and do shitty work for $5 each for practice. Once you git gud you can make more, and you can save all your $5 projects in a portfolio to show employers

Once you show me the payment is in transit I will tell you
thats awful money. I'd quit.
I have a pretty wide range of skills like coding(html, css,JS,php) and im pretty proficient in AE so the practice isnt what im worried about.
Done
This and also reply to ads on craigslist, make a profile on Upwork, and cut bargains in order to land gigs with well-connected people. Expand your skill set to include web design (nothing fancy, just putting together a squarespace site is what 95% of small businesses want), facebook ads, merchandising, etc.
A lot of these niche markets are insulur... if you build a website for, say, a winery, and do a great job, all their friends will start contacting you too. In their mind, it’s so hard to find a professional “winery web designer” and they’ll pay top dollar for that expertise.
Buy an Epson commercial grade printer, you can find them on Ebay, but I would recommend buying one fresh from Epson. Your choice. Be mindful ink for these is expensive. Depending on which model you buy, you can even handle printing for vehicle wraps, which go for about 2-5k a pop. I know a person IRL who started out with a used one, he started printing stickers and such. He upgraded his unit. Now he does huge graphics labels for windows of businesses around town and does it full time, he has is own workshop. You can also get into other avenues such as fancy wrapping paper for the holidays, giftcards, and event fliers. You have graphic design experience, so this is right up your alley and a way to become self sufficient.
1. buy printer
2. learn to use it, experiment
3. get an LLC
4. print some business cards
5. cold call, email, and visit in person shops around town
6. ???
7. profit
I was also going to say upwork dot com, as the other user said, I forgot.
What about storage space? I live in an apartment.
wow so the only useful advice you can get on this fucking board has to be paid for. This isn't a bad idea.
I remember when people did threads a few years ago about which companies to start and how. Now its only shitcoins and wagecuck memes.
this is the dumbest fucking idea ive ever read in my life
OP if your tx hasnt been confirmed yet you can reverse it by republishing a new tx with the utxo's you used but with a higher fee and send to a different address.
Sound proof your walls, put a rubber mat underneath the printer to absorb vibrations.
If you want an external storage unit, you *might* be able to find a climate controlled unit in your area for cheap. I wouldn't recommend keeping your expensive printer in humidity/freezing cold. Otherwise I suggest you hit up Craigslist for commercial warehouse space in your area, if you're desperate you might even be able to sleep out of it. Big units in my area with a security gate are about $1000 a month, I'm in Florida. You can find cheaper without security. You can probably find even cheaper where you're at.
Tell that to my friend who does it full time, wagecuck.
I'm trying to help OP capitalize on his skillset - graphic design. There's not a lot you can do with graphic design, especially in the way of online freelance work because Brazilians, Indians and Eastern Euros can undercut him by an absurd degree. I've experienced this myself firsthand. Thus, his option is to market himself to people in his immediate community who need signs/graphics/displays.
If he REALLY wants to go the online freelance route, he should try upwork, possibly design Twitch layouts, Youtube layouts, Youtube thumbnails, logo design, and whatever else people are searching for on there.
Always contradicting lol
Check out Ivuri on Instagram
Also Ivuri.com, to get an idea of what I'm talking about
Jesus who made this site? looks like shit AND its broken
Agreed, but look at his IG, he has work coming in. And there's several other shops in the area that I know of with actual walk-in stores on main streets.
I make $30k/year after taxes while in school lmao nice degree how much debt u in?
You should be able to fit the printer in your apartment, not really worth the cost of a unit unless you're going to sleep out of it, IMO
50k but iv only been working about two weeks, im expecting a raise in about two-3 months to something over 20-22 an hour. But regardless its still not alot.
boomer tier graphic designer here. the only way is to work for yourself other wise you'll be on shit money forever. more money in AE work.. half my work is motion these days.
>Ivuri.com
well I just found out my good friend has one of these (his was like 10k) But dosent use it. Where do we go from there since the hard part of getting the printer is done?
There was a graphic designer at the last software company I worked at, he'd been with the company some 15 years and they fired him one day "to cut costs". Doesn't sound like a promising career, then again nothing does these days.
Find the model, see if it has ink, look up the specs, see what sort of paper you can use with it. Buy said paper(s). Experiment with the printer at your home until you are comfortable doing different things with it. File an LLC
($200-$300). Get some lawyer to give you some contract templates. Make some invoice templates in word. Launch an IG/website, take and post pics of shit you've made. Act like you're a seasoned veteran, advertise and hit businesses up in your area to see what they need.
Also whatever services you want to offer IRL, you can offer on Etsy as well
You can start making meme videos on youtube and get that extra $0.04 per month from those views
Checked for truth
This is what Jow Forums should be, not this shitty crypto shilling.
It really should
Then contribute something instead of whining you useless faggot.
if i knew an easy way to make passive income that didn't require a huge capital investment theres no way i would tell anyone else here, or in real life
Your a real sad little cuck arent you?
Well, this user got 3$ out of it so I'd say it was worth it
