Yeah blockDAG has theoretically infinite scalability, but the actual throughput is limited by the average network bandwidth and your limited hard drive, user.

You can achiever even more TPS with dero with some tweak and with nodes put in a cloud, but you have to sacrifice decentralization. (look at Fantom it's a blockDAG in a cloud the real TPS is around 3000, but don't have any RingCT or any private smart contract feature)
