The thing is that people can't create anything from nothing. The thing is that a small percentage of the human population is hogging all the resources and the capital available on this planet. Unlike what some right-wing seem to think, you can't really bootstrap your way into wealth. It didn't work like that for most people who got wealthy. Even Trump, who claims to be self-made, started off with a loan from his daddy; he then became successful, but he would not have had a snowball chance in hell without that starting loan, and most people will never have access to any loan of that kind, which means they have no opportunity.

Is communism the answer? I don't think so. Personally I think that criminality is the answer. This world has come to a point where only opting out of the system will give you a chance. Capitalism has reached its ultimate logical consequences and now there is no place for competition; the big corporations have "made it", and everyoine else will never make it in this system; the game is over. The only way for poor people to win is by disregarding the rules of the game. The Mexican cartel is an outstanding example of success outside the box; the Italian criminal organizations are also doing well. Joining those organizations gives you a much better chance at making something out of yourself. And if and when a lot of people give up on present-day society and start playing outisde of the rules, the governments of the world will have to sit down and start thinking about a solution, because prisons can only hold so many people.

Protesting on the internet and on the streets won't change anything; violence and criminality are the only way forward. No revolution has ever been brought about by angry, unarmed protesters in public squares.

Wouldn't a poor person just be following another set of rules and opting into another system that is now a life of crime/whatever the don/boss says rather than "your grandfather's" capitalism (school, work blue collar job for 40+ years, retire w/pension, die, kids inherit money, repeat)? I think that at the end of the day if criminality were to take over present-day society, wealth and power would inevitably concentrate near the top, low-tier soldiers/grunts become outraged because of this after some time, coup d'état, cycle starts again for another system. Even if we can't see it all of the time, systems are an inevitability in life and even choosing not to follow the rules of one will lead you to following the rules of another. I'd argue that that really depends on the country in which you were born. Let's not pretend that moneyed people "earned" their money. Sure, if you don't try you're doomed to fail from the get-go, but success is largely contingent on luck. There is that interview with James Harris Simons where he says that when people succeed they always take credit for what they did, and when they fail they always blame it on bad luck. Successful people usually have a distorted view of their worth and they don't recognize that Fortune is the Empress of the World.

It's all about being given a chance. I feel like in criminal organizations there still is some hope of rising through the ranks, even though the risks are considerable (getting killed or jailed). In mainstream society on the other hand "les jeux sont faits"; winners and losers have been set in stone for the most part. Unless you're extraordinarily talented or lucky, there is little hope of ever getting out of wageslaving for good. This is because we have been playing for nearly two centuries according to certain rules that ended up favoring some people at the expenses of others. Criminality is much more akin to the natural world (and indeed much more akin to international relationships; the relationships among sovereign nations have been compared to those among rival criminal gangs); it does not stiffle change and opportunity with some more or less arbitrarily rules. Criminality gives you a chance to prove yourself. Breaking the law is yet another risk you have to account for, which is exactly what banks do every day anyway.

I agree partially in that most/all of us will inevitably wageslave for a period of time but not for good. Perhaps I'm too optimistic, but I believe that that with good financial planning and not falling for every meme (liberal arts degree in the current year, leasing an expensive car, eating most of the time, etc.) you can retire several years earlier than expected as long as you never lose sight of the goal of financial freedom. Yeah it sucks blah blah give Goyberg his shekel gibs for a decade or two or whatever but everything takes sacrifice in one way or another. I think the wealth of information the internet provides is the great equalizer in making better financial decisions provided you are looking up information beneficial to your current situation but I know that about half of the world has internet access right and I truly hope everyone can get it one day
