>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy? Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.
Eeek. I would say that's a bad idea for short term. It's always safer to short the peak of a lower high after a deep plunge rather than entering a short during a plunge that has already gone very low.
Who else is pumped for the recession >tfw job prospects are good in recessions but bad for robotic automation >tfw now is the time to accumulate and when the AI Economic revolution comes I will be living on easy street
Here, look at how steep the recent falling trend is on the S&P. That kind of movement, in either direction, never lasts long of the stock market. There is always a retrace back the other way, then back some, then continuation or reversal. The best times to short are lower high as I mentioned, or when you see something that has flatlined break support low (as bitcoin recently did).

That’s what I mean by after the bounce, as in give it some time to recover from the recent plunge. I’m just not sure if we’re actually near a recession or not. I want to hold unleveraged inverse ETF for couple of months

It's not even a proper bear market yet and we're already pointing out bottoms.

I wanna wrestle a Jow Forums girl like this just once.
Bro how fucking delusional do you have to be? I'm only 23 and sold all of my shit months ago, I saw this coming for years. You can't honestly sit here and tell someone that you think this is the bottom. This will be the greatest crash in history and you old fucks are just grasping to any hope left. It's pathetic. First you faggots ruins the country and when things don't go your way, you do everything in your power to believe bullshit lies. I can't wait to buy back in at the bottom and fuck your daughters when all of you dumb fucks are crying yourself to sleep next to an ugly wife of 15 years that doesn't love you anymore.
It’s so weird though that almost everyone is calling a bear market or recession or whatever you want to call it for 2020. Like, who’s going to be going long in 2019? Is this not the easiest short opportunity ever?

We'll see how (Comfy) you are when you get prostate cancer and your kids don't give a shit because they want your money.
Tetra BioPharma announced successful completion phase 1 trial of vaporized version of the weed based med PPP001 for fibromyalgia. The med itself is in phase 3 trials for fast onset cancer related pain. I briefly considered dip buying them today but their chart looks horrible so I passed. One of these days though, Tetra is probably going to be a ten bagger.

Award for today's most bullish burger weed stock goes to Origin House/CannaRoyalty. I dip bought this today just on technicals and was very pleased to see decent buy volume for power hour. If it's behaving this way in these awful market conditions, I expect it will make some strong moves in neutral or rising market trends in future.
what are your spiciest shitpicks i intend to short them of course
Tyler Ortiz
Glad to see someone else finally discovering Origin House

I'm pretty bullish on many of the US based weed companies right now. My choices for trades revolve mainly around their revenue, multi-state involvement and chart technicals. They are performing okay under all this sell pressure so far.
This page shows most (not all) of the larger publically traded weed outfits, separated by reporting currency and ranked by revenue. Some US companies report in CAN for some reason. Some Canadian ones like Tilray report in USD:
>General Mattis thinks the president is a liability and had thus resigned >GOVERNMENT shut down game of chicken
Oh boy. Some of you guys are cool, so don't try to be a hero and catch falling knives or buy cheapies tomorrow. Apparently Black Friday will have a new meaning when the market slumps into recession territory.
This isn't advice, just an idea. Save that money, folks. We're heading to new lows soon.

Many retail investors and boomers with 401ks are going to be learning about the selloff tonight and this weekend. They’re going to pull their money out. It’s going to be brutal. I wonder how many more hedge funds are going to go underwater.

Jesus Christ I'm happier every day that I cashed out for precious metals and tobacco this week.
Read Mattis's resignation. He wanted continued troop presence in ME but Trump didn't. The withdrawal of soldiers probably isn't enough good news to save the market, however, and it might dump defense lmao.
Aiden Diaz
>were getting the wall no youre not its just instead of totally cucking trump decided to at least put up some resistance, but not before knifing every republican senator who voted for the bill with no wall. but enjoy investors shitting themselves after thinking they were in the clear for a shutdown. on top of foreign policy turmoil
Zachary Reyes
He was against the anti-EU optics. Mattis doesn't view things in a "are they good for us?" mindset like civilian patriots do. His job is to make sure we'd not only win World War 3 but win it well enough to get back to normal life after. Trump's shit talking of our military allies got in the way of his plans.
Benjamin Green
Mattis and Tillerson are the only Trump appointments that Ive liked
Tillerson leaving was unfortunate, but not entirely unexpected
Sessions getting fired was fantastic news
Mattis leaving is the ultimate sign that we might need a new administration (if basically anyone besides hillary manages to get the nomination)
it is a very bad sign, for many different reasons, that Mattis sees the administration as a lost cause
