That won't hurt growth, in my opinion. I don't hold, but it would be better for content creators to be goaded by fans to accept BAT than just taking their money.

Why isn't brave trying to hook up with clean your room dad? The current patreon debacle is perfect for them. I guess creators would rather get legal tender.

BAT isn't a donation. It's the monitization of user attention, web 3.0. its a part of the internet now, this is like complaining about free bread or chips and salsa at restaurants.

Let's say I subscribe to Tom Scott on YouTube and I want to use BAT to earn him fair revenue (not a donation because that's not how BAT works) because I want to support his content. A few days later I see Tom tweeting the things posted in the OP image. As a hypothetical fan of Tom Scott, I would feel betrayed and scorned by a creator I wished to support.

For someone making educational content online, he sure doesn't take the time to learn before complaining but I guess in his mind complaining is more of a priority.
