HOLY SHIT ITS UNIRONICALLY HAPPENING THIS TIME

Time checked

Venezuela

holy fuck. y2k

>while(online == true)
jesus fucking christ lmao

I told you fags sha256 was hacked yesterday and you thought I was larping

Are they sending the news in code now?

Stupid af

This has my attention. Any idea why? Any Germatia fags have insight?

>evaluating it that way instead of just while(online)
Disgusting

Do you have a source on that? Google isn't finding anything. It seems like it would be big news if it was real.

It's nothing. First off, you can't "hack" an algorithm.
Second, SHA256 being comprised really would be world-crippling

> A bunch offull of shit story tellers' website goes down.
> panic ensues
Not really that concerned OP. Let me know when their instagram goes down, then I go full shoot first policy.

>you can't "hack" an algorithm
Bullshit. If someone found a way to do a pre-image attack on SHA256 in a reasonable amount of time, I would consider it a hack.

>SHA256 being comprised really would be world-crippling
Hash algorithms have been compromised before. People can easily switch to other algorithms. SHA3 has been out for years. I'd be more worried if something like RSA or elliptic curve cryptography got broken.

Right? If you are hearing about it on the news, it's already too fucking late, just kiss your assets goodbye lmao

Everyone get back on topic.

Jesus Christ don't hijack the thread with this gay sha256 bs

>while loops instead of for loops
degenerate

>they both compile do do{}while()
imagine being this plebian

>SHA256 being comprised really would be world-crippling
nah... md5 was compromised a long time ago but aside from security security issues for signed assemblies there is no real impact.

Eh, it could be like when MD5 was "broken" back in 1996. Severely compromised hash algorithms are still better than nothing.

yeah like a well salted password is still completely secure with md5.
it was an issue with signatures for large binaries and collisions easily found if they contained a lot of 0 filled volume.

in theory a vulnerability of sha256 would just skyrocket the hashrate of btc with new asics.

Ideally, this is what would happen. The problem is that not everyone will update their mining software at the exact same time. Some mining farm could conduct a 51% attack if they update first.

Machine code doesn't even have loops. All loops compile down to jump statements.

> if
TRIGGERED

SSE4 has several looping instructions for string processing tho.

>It's nothing. First off, you can't "hack" an algorithm.
Actually, that's exactly what you "hack":

"hacker: an expert at programming and solving problems with a computer"

merriam-webster.com/dictionary/hacker

Even today, to some people, "hacker" simply means a skilled LISP programmer.

Then the media started using "hacker" instead of "cracker" to bring the more popular meaning these days:

"hacker: a person who illegally gains access to and sometimes tampers with information in a computer system"

I'm an autistic righty and this is actually pretty funny, left is still cucks tho

someone came up with technique for SHA1 (not SHA256) collisions for signed PDFs, thats what the news was about

shattered.io/

BAHAHAHAHAAHAH

>not using while(isTrue(Boolean(online)))

shiggy

Thanks, user. That explains why I hadn't heard about it.

lol sha1 admittedly has backdoor by design later on the nsa realized that was a huge mistake tho.

>while(online = true)
fixed it. As a whole, npcs will never truly go offline

I love this lol

i hope this is bait. you didnt fix shit lol.

read it again, I meant what I typed.

while(online.ToString == "true")

bunch of nerds itt. shits weak yo.

what appears to be a twitter API malfunction has nothing to do with the world's most trusted hashing algorithm being compromised or not.
the absolute state.

i hate this thread.

The left are the ones that are the NPCs as their idiom is spewed by the media and "universities".

You're clearly not getting this meme.
