It's still a tool that makes a person infinitely more knowledgeable than someone without one though (i'm talking about as a giant reference not the vapid use that 99% use it for i.e. social media and porn) so solving that transfer problem and essentially hooking up the human mind directly to the web would revolutionise education and eventually humanity as we know it. even something as dumb as google glass is an idea on the right track. having a hud in your day to day shortens the interaction time, now make it voice activated. now make a wireless connection that works like a mpls so you're no longer at the mercy of the public internet. now make it thought activated. now express the data you download in the same function as brain activity so you no longer have to read an article to know it. etc etc etc we are working towards this but solving that data bottleneck will be an insane breakthrough for humanity and will probably bring problems far worse than we ever dreamed

And it's nothing new, when we had a good and working search engine called Google back in 2005-2006, which could find anything remote and obscure that you could think of, and before it got fucked in the ass, we used to think Google made us computer hodlers much smarter than everyone else, the plebs without computers.
Now everyone has a smartphone, and it's a good thing they can search, but Google has gone down the drain and there hasn't really been a good search engine to replace it yet. However, it still enhances your thinking because it mostly searches for wikipedia articles and brand names, which is enough for most people.
I have a problem with the brain interface though. Putting mark of the beast assumptions aside, there is a shitton of sensitive tissue in the brain, and the darn implants will most likely use microwaves to communicate, just like the fucking cell phones that give people cancer and the fucking doctors deny it's happening because they get paid to do so.
