>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy? Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.
>think of shorting something >see all this bullish call flow >get nervous

scalp and short all you want, put that 70K to work for you. making money from other people's mistakes doesn't make you a bad person. that is literally the entirety of my job
it's a long term hold imo.. keep an eye on that o/s count though.. if it climbs to around 4mil i think it's close to something happening. its such a small float.. anything could happen
If you want a small oil gamble for just a few days with just a few bucks check out SN.. its a turd.. i know.. but it has some nice little moves up here and there and right now short interest is up and short ratio is down.. could get interesting.
I don't know who it is but he have some powerful bears on our side, lads. The PPT doesn't stand a chance. Everytime they try to pump they get clobbered.

I fully intend to use this upcoming bear market to invest in index funds and other dividend stocks, but I don't understand people are so adamant about buying throughout a dip and justifying it through averaging and slow-but-steady returns.
If it's evident that things are probably going to slide for several more weeks or months, what harm does it do me to wait it out a little longer? Maybe I'll miss a dividend payout or two, but those dividends likely won't cancel out the losses. Timing the market is obviously not entirely possible, but I feel like there are more ideal and less ideal entry points in a market like this.

>just time the market bro >like, just don't be a retard >it's probably not even hard man
whoops, ITW not MMM, but MMM is a fantastic dividend stock
Colton Ramirez
most dividend and income stocks already crashed from the interest rate environment 2015. Buying today through the next year will ensure you FAT gains for the rest of your life

All gains from yesterday might be unironically lost by eod, whew
The PPT has been causing pattern-breaking spikes all day but if the market wants to go down it's going down. Plus there are some whales out there who tip the scale in our favor when it matters.
if people aren't smart enough to plan for a market drop with their 4% rule, they deserve it
this is why my retirement will be 100% funded (including investment money) by dividend income and whatever is in my 401K and IRA, my high yield savings and my SSI will be for emergencies.
