>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy? Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.
you could measure volatility by tracking /smg/ post frequency pretty accurately.

US weed stocks want to go on a run soooo bad. They've been pump/dumping the last two weeks during the market plunge. If market is half ass stable and spec investors feel okay about letting gains ride for a few days, these stocks will fly.
NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) is a very common and often symptomless disease caused by the buildup of fat in the liver. In some cases, people with NAFLD will develop NASH (Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis), in which inflammation and liver cell damage are present in addition to the buildup of fat in the liver. In its later stages, people with NASH can develop fibrosis (scarring) in their livers, which can in severe cases progress to liver cirrhosis, an extremely serious and life-threatening condition. The NASH market is forecasted to be worth $20-$35 billion dollars by 2025, and most large players in the NASH space (MDGL, ICPT, VKTX, etc) are focused on treating fibrosis and preventing progression to cirrhosis. One example of a company focused primarily on treating cirrhosis, however, is GALT.

GALT's sole competitors in the NASH cirrhosis space are CNAT and Gilead. CNAT missed primary endpoints in its most recent clinical trial, and Gilead's NASH drug has shown mixed results in clinical trials. GALT's primary drug of interest, GR-MD-02, works by inhibiting the action of galectin-3, a molecule implicated in a wide variety of diseases, including NASH, cancer, fibrosis, endometriosis, and asthma. In a phase 2 clinical trial of GR-MD-02 for the treatment of NASH cirrhosis, GR-MD-02 showed a statistically significant and promising effect in the reduction of hepatocyte ballooning (occurs when hepatocytes, a type of liver cell, increase in size and then explode and die) and in preventing the formation of esophageal varices (enlarged veins in the esophagus that can rupture and cause life-threatening bleeding). It did, however, miss its primary endpoint in the reduction of HVPG (hepatic venous pressure gradient). This may have occured due to an error in trial design. Per recently published FDA guidelines, phase 2 NASH clinical trials should last 12-18 months, which GALT's trial did not. Additionally, its effects in the reduction of hepatocyte ballooning and preventing the formation of esophageal varices were promising enough that GALT has moved onto Phase 3 clinical trials in NASH. In addition to NASH, GR-MD-02 has shown promising results in the treatment of melanoma and head and neck cancer, significant increasing Keytruda's response rate in a recent combination trial. GR-MD-02 is safe (producing little to no significant side effects) and relatively inexpensive to produce (being derived from apple pectin).

This whole Green Growth Brands/Aphria proposed takeover is screwy. I don't want to touch it. Goddamn wiggly snake shenanigans or something. Who the hell knows what either of these stocks do in the interim before proposed deal maybe or maybe doesn't close.
what if the pump is because trump has promised the big specs he's got a deal with the chinks and his "buy the dip" statement is him covering him self from from insider trading charges.
I think Trump understands the value of decisive action over slower, more measured responses, and I think people often justify it after the fact as more than it really was.

>Trump is smarter than he appears.
Oh, he's absolutely smarter than he appears. The man's whole career is based around looking like a reckless buffoon who succeeds in part because people keep buying his bluff. Several times in his real estate career, he beat out other bids on property because others thought the project was unrealistic.
The tricky thing about this stint in politics is other world leaders believe his shit almost too much. They freak out a little and lash back, markets freak out, then things go quiet for a while and miraculously a deal emerges. I thought the way he handled the NAFTA negotiations was great. He came out of those with a much better deal for the US.

I just hope he doesn't pull out of Syria or Afghanistan. This puts Israel in danger because it allows the G d damned Iranians easy access too stream weapons directly to other militant groups such as Hamas.

And if he were running a business, that would mean something. But he's not, he's influencing a nearly $20 trillion economy which has a different set of rules. Hence all the unforced errors where the things that made him successful in the private sector cause huge market swings.

I agree. I don't think The Donald is an especially good politician or president for this reason. There are lots of tricks to governing that he just doesn't know. A lot of rakes experienced politicians know to avoid that he just blindly steps on.
The thing I do think is 100% positive about his presidency is that he will, for good or ill, be a huge catalyst for change in the US. Used to be it felt like you were voting for different flavours of the exact same shit no matter which side you chose to put your checkmark on. That will not be the case in future elections. Ideologies are splitting and perhaps a strong third party will emerge in the US in the next, i dunno, ten or twenty years or something.

Should dump tommrow morning then pump earlier on , suprisingly for a friday also leading to people cashing out for the week later intraday

reality hasn't changed, everyone's always been a faggot deep down. The implicit perversion of male heterosexuality has always been the secret belief/desire for the woman to actually have a penis. The implicit perversion of male heterosexual romance has always been that every guy wants to date a man in a woman's body, someone who has all the drive and logic of a man, lacking the docility and passivity inherit to women even as they have all the feminine beauty and aesthetic. These themes appear in culture and literature going back centuries, millennia even.
