not my opinion I read it... There was a pros and cons for each one and they said the con for coinbase was high fees. I was looking to get some advice from people who have experience with this stuff.

Only if you don't use Coinbase pro. You could have 0% fees if you set limit orders. Otherwise go with Kraken if you plan on just buying on the spot instead of setting limit orders.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about the fees too much. If you're only buying 1k worth, that'll be like $15-40 depending on if you use your bank account or a debit card (debit is more, not sure the exact fee %s). You could try another site and save $10 or so, but I don't know if it's worth the effort.
