sadly it's shilled here massively that it almost looks like a scam. still i'm grateful because without this shilling i would have never found nkn.
i have the feeling that loads of people on here doesn't like the project at all so why is this? all i've found regarding this project are really strong fundamentals and some great approaches.
so i'd like to start some general thread with some (grown up) opinions on it.
its not easy to trust chinese projects (i know theyre US based but chinese team) in a market like this, especially when they have lofty goals like rebuilding the internet, and when the token has performed so poorly
that said, most of what i've read about NKN seem positive. i'm not sure if they're really achieve what they're setting out to do but they do seem pretty legit and no doubt it'll have some big pumps at some point
Christopher Green
also, when binance
Levi Nelson
you're righ - especially with the exchange situation. but they already have a testnet online with around 3k global nodes. so it's not just vapourwave
Noah Brown
This already lost 90%+ of its ATH value. If you don't buy a small bag around these prices, you're a fool. This is solid.
Joseph Cooper
definitely not vaporware, I read their medium article about their MOCA consensus and it sounds like they've put some serious hard research into the project and having diffie/wolfram onboard is legit impressive
but chinese coins just arent in favour right now, they are the volatile higher risk higher reward coins that mainly come out during bull markets
but i think if it gets on binance and has one monster pump its image will start to change
Zachary Bennett
It'll eventually get on Binance. I already have my bags full and ready. 2021 might be good for this.
Carter Howard
well 2021 would hopefully be good for everything, but ideally nkn would get moving a bit sooner at least to regain some of the ground it lost
been eyeing it for a while, will probably pick up a bag soon
Zachary Martin
if this list on binance in 2021 the momentum is lost forever imo
Lucas Jackson
>i have the feeling that loads of people on here doesn't like the project at all so why is this? Because the token makes no sense in the wider world. See Dent Wireless.
Eli Sanders
this will be on binance next year, for sure. I said 2021 is gonna be good, price-wise. I also concur this will be dead in the water if by this time next year it's not on any good exchanges and still at 2/3 cents. Let's hope 2019 and mainnet brings us to 10 cents at least.
Jordan Moore
This is my only concern. Let's be honest - tokens don't make sense in 90% of cases. Still have a bag though as it will inevitably moon
Brandon Watson
it's like eth crucial for the network/works as incentive
James Cooper
Which has worked for now yeah but for real world normie adoption it's an unnecessary layer
Levi Campbell
shill me on this, what does it do? It looks like bullshit, but the wolfram adviser news raised eyebrows.
Gabriel Morris
I want the price to dump so i can buy more
Charles Long
You're in luck
Liam Ross
well the whole network (NKN) only works when people set up their nodes, the incentive for doing this is the nkn token. (it mining in a useful way) so without the token there would be no nodes ergo no network
but to really understand it, click the hyperlinks to their medium posts in the technology section
Hunter Collins
lets see
Elijah Smith
you had enough time to buy at at 1.1c
Robert Smith
Dent is absolutely a pointless token but just like btc non is the incentive to contribute to the network. I dont see how else you would hope to create a decentralized network robust enough to serve as a second layer to the current internet. The problem with it in its early stages is it serves 0 purpose as the network doesnt even fully exist or but with how open the devs have been and committed they seem, it's a no brainer for when the market recoups.
Nathaniel Ross
Does NKN provide an application layer for devs?
Andrew Morgan
Yes the NKN SDK has been used to make dApps already
