I wouldn’t really call that a McMansion. They tried to keep lines aligned, the building symmetrical, and what I guess is a style that fits into the surrounding area. Sure it’s not good looking but hardly a McMansion.
Anyways it was boomers who bought McMansions because they are tasteless and vapid.

It can be hard depending on how big it is , if you can't afford tech that makes it easier and especially if you have only 1 or 2 people doing all the work which is most cases. If it's also your livehood, you need to have a good knowledge about crops, animals and make decisions based on that knowledge. You need to also manage the business aspect of it by selling your crops, etc. It's not casual and comfy as many people idealise

“We” didn’t. McMansions are a direct result of the US real estate market and are built at the express request of the customer. All your appraisal value comes from the land so its more profitable to finance as much land as possible and build a house that will last just long enough for you to flip it or split the lot. McMansions aren’t some scam being ran by shady contractors either, the margins for them are terrible.
