I still buy weed from my dealer because of prices in my Provence, stores have little to no supply. Still opportunity I suppose. If you're planning on going legal I'd start a local brand and try managing the supply chain better than your competition. Otherwise good luck selling your homegrown to your friends.

growing weed is piss easy this shit literally grows by itself. the only actual work you have to do is repotting, giving them water/nutrients, taking cuts from mother plants and harvesting. and most of that can be reduced by using hydroponic setups, outsourcing the trimming etc. its really not hard to grow high quality weed you need good genetics and you need to know what youre doing and have your setup dialed in, thats it. its not rocket science. as for cost my production cost was less than 1 dollar / gram and I did it on a small scale only for my own use, so everything was highest quality and I didnt give a fuck about costs, high yield or any of that. if you grow on a bigger scale, use commercial strains and so on you could probably get that cost down significantly.

A good grower that's been doing it for years produces pot at an average of 600 dollars per pound. That includes electricity supplies, rent fertilizers and the like.

what none of these people are telling you is almost all of these small time growers sell a little 'illegally' on the side. I know 4 small growers and they all do that. Theyve been doing it for 2-8 years now. if you got half a brain you can figure out how to count in that extra money without getting caught, theres not that much supervision right now as its still a new area so that door might be closing as the govt/state figures shit out.
