Sadly it is not possible to make it with NEO. I have 1188 NEO and can say this as someone who is following the project almost daily for 15 months and drunk enough to be honest. NEO is underhanded with finances and keeps throwing out the word community while holding half the supply hostage. Shit is fucked and very unchinese as far as predictors of success go.
Honestly, you are better off swing trading iota for a few months than holding neo for a another year.

And he's right, yes the devs are great (last year the Westerners, but now also the Eastern ones are coming along), and the Virtual Machine of E. Zhang is nice and cool the Westerners added more compilers after the C# one, but IRL it is true that there are 3 or what people who hold 60% of the funds who slowly trickle down money to people who then hold the funds to again slowly tricke down money. And all the good projects resent the Chinese for not giving a fuck about the consensus mech and not actually developing (at best, collecting tickets on github from other devs not in the core team) and also all project, if you take a look, also know the problems and promise their company products compatibility with ETH eventually.
