Any tips for tackling about 10k credit card debt and about 14k in unsecured loans? Obviously the best way is to never get in this situation. Monthly expenses are pretty high already. I've been moving cards around to avoid interest but I'm afraid I will run into not being able to do that much longer. Those debt consolidation programs seem like scams too.

10k is pretty manageable, how much are your monthly costs? the real shit, what you actually need
File for jewed
Cut them up and don't stop making payments.
The fuck they gonna do? That shit is unsecured. They took the risk of giving on those loans when you weren't credit worthy. They just write the debit off as a credit in their balance sheet after X amount of time.
*stop making payments
lol what a retard
this doesnt belong on Jow Forums it belongs on /subnormal/
Pay the smallest total amount off first aggressively, apply that amount to the next one, when that's paid apply the monthly payments from the first 2 onto the 3rd and so on. Also its tax season soon too so your tax check should help.
I got through 15K credit debt and 6K auto loan this year doing this method.
Unfortunately three kids makes it tough. I am about to redo everything but the big ones are 1250 for house, 200 for car, utilities, and food is another big one. We don't eat out but still spend a lot. I'm trying to get that down too. Wife spends too much money I think and I'm reigning that in as well.
does your wife work? don't let her overspend if she's not contributing, especially with 3 kids on the table
watch some dave ramsey vids for suggestions on how to handle debt in these situations btw
I suggest you never make a payment. let it go to collections. even better if they are out of state. haggle with the collections agency for extremely low payments, like $5 a month. fuck em. otherwise you will be paying $300+ monthly installments and 75% of it is interest. you're better off not paying them shit, saving up the entire loan amount, then doing a loan payoff all at once.
in depth how-to on how to get your payments super low. this will fuck up your credit though, but who gives a shit you're already in the red
