To escape this living hell i'm experiencing atm. I once saw pictures here of cheap meals including the ingredients that one person could eat multiple days from... do any of you still got them? Also, any more tips, advice? Thanks lads.
Going frugal to maximize savings this year
Buy lots of chicken breast in bulk
YOU NEED TO REALIZE THE FUTURE OF EATING CHICKEN
THIS IS A SIGN THAT FINANCIAL FREEDOM IS A FUCKING REALITY.

All I did was offer advice on chicken
Bump
just buy a slow cooker and then cook entire roasts with some vegetables, thats what I do, lasts me like 4-5 days usually and requires no cooking skill or effort whatsoever and costs like $20 for the roast, I'm literally eating on like $4-5/day
1. Get cheap protein, i.e. rice, legumes, grain.
2. Cook said food in any combination, I strongly recommend lentil stew with freshly baked bread (probably about 10-20c per portion)
3. ???
4. Profit
Thanks for the advice bros. But i guess nobody here saved the pics some user posted about a year ago. Looked delicious and the dude ate for like 5 bucks per 3 days. Oh well.
Bag of rice
Instead of driving around town for only 1 errand try and get multiple done in one trip that way your saving gas money (and time). Hit the bank, grocery store, post office in one swoop if it’s all relatively close together or in the same direction.
they're probably from websites similar to this:

Chicken breast, rice, beans
I realized my fat ass is spending $15 a day average on lunch during work...Im cutting this out and saving $300 a month now.
How frugal are we talking?
Stealing toilet paper from restaurants and hotel lobbies frugal?
Or just minimize expenses?
This matters as there are two approaches here: 1. Get almost everything for free to sustain your living
2.Spend as little to sustain your living
so let's get this out of the way first.
here's a cheap recipe that will help you escape:
Gather the following ingredients
Garlic
Chicken
onion powder
onions sauce
butter
green onions (optional)
rice (or potatoes)
salt and pepper
step 1: preheat oven to 450 degrees
step 2: dice chicken into cubes, dice 3 garlic cloves
step 3: stick your head into the oven, hold it there until you die
step 4: in a pan, heat on medium heat, melt the butter
step 5: place the garlic in the butter and cook for 3-4 minutes
step 7: coat the chicken with salt and pepper and about 1 tsp of onion powder
step 6: leave the butter in the pan and place the chicken in the pan and brown it
step 7: by now you should be dead so I'm not going to bother finishing this recipe.
>Secreto Frugal General here.
So you want to enlist yourself to the Secreto Frugal Army ey? Lets get started user!
>Check how much kcal you need to spend per day. I spend about 2000-2500kcal. I have a sixpack and visit the gym 4x per week so fuck off.
>Buy meat for 3$/kg. Only buy meat that is on sale or in the price.
>Buy vegetables for 50c/kg.
>Buy potatoes for 50c/kg.
>Buy rice for 50c/kg.
>Eat food according to your kcal amount. You will save shitloads of money from this. In theory you only spend about 5$ for 2-3 days which makes 10-15$ per week for food. Cheap ay?
>You should be able to gather all those above foods with those price ranges.
>If its too dull, buy cheap seasoning. A pack of seasoning should cost 1-2$ that should last quite a bit of time. Also buy on sale! Never buy something that is not on sale except the vegetables. They are already on cheap. Anything above 1.50$ you should buy on sale.
>Analyze your gas mileage. Is it always needed to drive the car? Think this. Driving a car from A to B costs gas. Maybe sometimes its wiser to use a taxi? Maybe its sometimes better to order food? Do the calculations and only use the vehicle when needed.
>Analyze all the outcomes in your bank account. Ask yourself. Do i need it? Each statement just type behind. Do i need it? If its something you dont need "Netflix" then cancel it. Download movies. If its music "Spotify". Why? Just download it. Medicine? Buy it. Health is the most important thing!
>Clothes, buy on sale. You can find hot clothes when on sale.
>Girlfriend? Take her out but buy her moderate expensive food. You can just take low amounts and blame it on your fit body. Believe me it works both ways. You pay less for yourself and the bitch looks at you with respect "How can he resist good food?". Dumb women...
How much are you going to spend on food a month?
based frugal Jow Forumslets.
some tricks ive done
>stopped buying toilet paper, use a rage which i wash
>moved into an apartment without a stove. cook with a hot plate now
>have 5 shirts, 2 pants and 5 underwears, 5 socks
>steal sugar from starbucks near my street. never buy anything there and the wagecucks dont care
>eat rice everyday
You are on the right path OP, grats.
The biggest 3 expenses people have are rent, transportation and food. You are going to have to sacrifice some comfort to cut these expenses in a meaningful way. Live with other people, bike to work or use public transportation (use the time to do something useful, read books for example, audiobooks), eat oatmeal, lentils, nuts and broccoli.
Obviously avoid luxury spending. Don't eat out, go to bars or use drugs. Most good things in life are cheap or free. Exercise to feel good.
And remember to "pay yourself first". Immediately when you get your paycheck invest a portion of it, and never fucking touch your investments! I am in a similar situation. Be a badass. Good luck!
I started a keto + intermittent fasting diet a while ago to lose weight but as a side effect I saved a bunch of money on food too. Basically just cut carbs down to 20 grams and eat 1 giant meal every day, or you could just do intermittent fasting by itself if you want to eat rice and ramen and stuff. Trust me after about a week of it you'll notice yourself eating much less food even though you're having giant meals. Just a thought.
Quite good advice actually
Rice has lots of arcenic.

5 socks. that sounds annoying
Sorry for typo. I am drunk.
One way to cut expenses is to only shower once a week and use same clothes longer.
I know that chicken is subsidized heavily in the US, but I cannot believe the breast is the cheapest meat you can get, even there.
Buy chicken on the bone - thighs and while legs. Fags are squeamish about eating meat on the bone so it's cheaper, and the thigh is the very tastiest bit of the whole animal, too.
Buy shitloads of onion, celery, and carrot. Dice that shit up and fry it in oil. Add stock and you have the base for every soup, stew, casserole, and sauce/gravy/stock that you could ever need. And it's got tonnes of neutrients as you're buying FRESH vegetables.
>i guess nobody here saved the pics some user posted about a year ago
if you knew the post number you could find it
Would love to read that post too. Anyone remembers any key words from it or anything that could help us find it?
>He think US veg still contain nutrients
frugality is key...
There's a frugal eating Reddit
i heard chicken breasts are $11/kg in Canada
this desu. the state of their food is scary af compared to eu
Protip, buy 100 safety razor blades (10 bucks) and a safety razor (5 bucks AliExpress)
You can now shave for 2 years and in my opinion it even shaves better
I get the £5 meal deal at my local coop and that lasts me 3 days at least. So I'm living on probably 1quid fifty a day maybe more if I have some beans to fill it out.
Canada is collapsing my friend
stop stealing thats not what frugal means ,
gipsy nigger
This. Also if possible do this on Tuesdays at the earliest when everyone is wageslaving (avoid Mondays, this is the day where everyone who couldn't get their errands done during the weekend will go)
good. the jews want you to blow your money on frivolities
Why don't you order by date? This makes no sense user
I started an egg only diet starting this month
15 eggs per day + I'm lifting heavy
Gonna try this for a month and report back
My usual diet is chicken breast only diet and cost me ~4 dollars a day
If in usa, get your meat from Price Right. Fuck chicken breast, it's overpriced - better off with thighs if you don't have a preference. Pork roasts, slow cooker.
Eat like a spic, look into Asian noodles too.
>Open office
>numbers don't even add up
Open office is shit. FOSS is ugky af too
But it's free.
I did this through entire 2018. Didn't spend a single cent on anything other than basic food and gasoline to go wagecucking. In order to buy stinky linkies. It WILL wear you the fuck out, but it was fucking worth it.
Oats, chicken and bread goes a long way.
Also lost 10kg.
You spent 5 grand on food? What the fuck is wrong with you you big fat retard?
Flip the breaker on your water heater when you aren't home. My power bill is about a third less than any of my neighbors'.
>veg

Have you read Early Retirement Extreme? Pretty much everything you need is in that book. The guy lived on $7k a year I think, maybe $4k... Retired at age 30, at least he did but now he's a Quant trader or something
