You have to brand yourself shamelessly. Pigeonhole and target an audience. Have lots of fun free content on instagram and look like a cool funny laid back guy who has an enigma people can’t quite crack but know they like.
You have to go viral. You have to be likeable. Otherwise any paid promotion is wasted. Ride a trend but innovate it just enough to interest people.

Here is the secret user. This is coming from someone that works in the industry. MAKE FUCKING GOOD MUSIC. If the music isn't good you will not make it. I don't care for your genre user. Just be good at whatever that might be. Don't bullshit yourself either. You know if your music is good or not. If its not than keep putting in those hours in the studio until it is.

But what about the ones who blow up who make shitty music? It seems like record labels aren't looking for good rappers or artists but shitty ones with limited vocab. Example playbook carti
