is this guy a monk or a nazi?
Should've went Compsci, only major that matters.
Any of you engineers here actually graduated on time? All the engineers I've come across have been in school for like 5+ years.
Does it matter? They're both celibate
compsci are the biggest cucks any math/eng fag can self teach himself cs theories online
i finished undergrad in 4 years flat. took two courses at a community college during my first summer break. i ended up with more credits than i needed to graduate so it was a wasted effort.
phd took 5 years though because my adviser was a piece of shit. biggest regret is not quitting 1/1.5 years into the phd and leaving with a free coursework only masters.
B.S takes most engineers 4.5 to 5 years.
I got a ECE degree. Got a great job atm.
Anyone who thinks a worthless credential is going to fill-in for:
>Lack of experience
>Lack of accomplishment
>Raw talent
Is setting themselves up for a job that's likely to be automated in the next few years. Independent ambition coupled with actual skill/talent wins over the defunct "sit in school / go into debt / graduate unemployed / live with parents till 40" plan.
Should've did some research first before picking his major instead of following the stupid "do what you love and the money will come" meme.
Except it's the opposite. He said he was memed into engineering for the money and women then decided to do youtube instead. He has to work on the studdering tho
Stem is a meme
Engineering is fine. Problem is that people that have no intrest in it, take it because it sounds cool, job prospects or family pressure, etc.
I run a restaurant. Alot of people would kill to have my job. I do everything. From marketing, design, interior, prices, menu. You name it, I do it. And Im good at it. 8 years, all profits. And whoever has been in restaurant business knows thats not easy.
But I dont like it. I just started youtube channel (crypto, The Late Adopter), because I enjoy makeing videos. Everything about it just feels easy. I love reading and talking about investing, trading, crypto. I also love psycology and learning how to make a channel grow is such a rush for me.
Young people dont know what they are good at or what they like. So they pick stuff they arent meant for.
You will allways have a hard time finding a job in a market where your education isnt as needed. As is not mechanical engineering. But if you love it, you will find it eventually and you will enjoy it. Choosing a job just based on where you can get a job (like in the video he suggest Software), isnt the best option.
You should go where your heart leads you. We are fortunate enough to live in an age where we have freedom to choose. Remember that.
He looks like an Asian wojak.
if you didn't intern as an engineer (or compsci) you fucked up
so essentially you're talking about shit you know nothing about and then you shamelessly plug your gas ass channel.
What do you mean I dont know nothing about?
you don't know shit about engineering. you're a small business owner and wrote up a post that literally says nothing.
Why would you assume I dont know shit about engineering?
Restaurant wasnt my first option, I went to university into software development before I quit. Alot of my friends did engineering there.
What I wrote there was that people should choose what they like doing instead of where best prospects for job or money is. How stupid are you?
you wrote a bunch of bullshit and a plug for your faggy youtube channel, you retarded faggot.
>You should go where your heart leads you.
kill yourself for that line alone.
2nd year electrical engineering student here, got an internship for 32 an hour this summer. Projects are fun as hell also.
How old are you? Is this your first day on Jow Forums? Ofc Im gonna shill my chanel. Do you even know how advertisment and marketing works?
i know you're a brain dead moron that pops into a random thread, and writes a bunch of senseless garbage to plug his shitty product/service when it's absolutely irrelevant. stick with that shit to facebook not here.
I graduated in 4 years. Took me a year and a half to find a job, and now I'm a glorified construction worker. I want to die.
you have your own youtube channel? howd you pull that off?
Im crying :D
You really need to get off anime midget scat vegan porn haha
Fucking idiot lol :D
Are there engineering students that unironically enjoy engineering? I've taken some math classes with them and most seem to hate every second.
Lol should have done co op dummy. Whats your discipline?
>any math/eng fag can self teach himself cs theories online
lmao
t. script kiddie who thinks he's actually good at programming
I payed some underground dude 10k. He fixed me up. Had to suck couple of dicks for it.
nobody actually gives a shit
I'm a mechanical engineer specializing in controls. I applied to internships all through college but they were just as hard to get, so I did undergrad research. Now I work outside in the 37F December rain.
are you the civil engineering guy that works as a construction manager?
engineering course loads are a lot higher than CS, math, physics etc. They basically squeeze 5-6 years of education into 4 (+1 year of interning or more) because it's a professional designation degree. Most students are drained by this, and it shows. But, they usually find a few courses that they love by second year and get a clearer idea of where they want to focus their attention for the rest of their degree and early career.
You gave a shit enough to ask.
No. I wanted to make fighter jets.
that's rich coming from a louse that needs to shill here for his livelihood.
Ah civil engineering. I'm so glad I didn't fall for the "we are the builders of the world" meme they push in university.
you might have better luck in china. it's china century anyway.
Lol sorry to hear that dude. If your peers arent engineers you should keep looking for work.
I'm not a civil engineer...
Hey super sperg at least he is not lying about having a channel and trying to make it, who cares.
Im serious now. Dead serious. How old are you? I cant haveing these discussions with kids. Its fucks up my ego.
i enjoyed the applied math/problem solving part of engineering. hated the actual engineering part/what you do on the job, i.e. looking up some half assed empirical correlations or using 50+ year old charts because no one can be fucked to tabulate the data.
If we had no minimum wage, this wouldn't be an issue. These guys could work for $0.01 an hour in order to get some experience, and then move on to something better.
older than a college dropout halfwit, i assure you that.
Please die.
Dude, you're an idiot. Now tell me how many bags you hold and how poor you are.
i replace burners in ovens and do other similarly trivial shit despite having a phd, if it makes you feel any better.
whats your youtube channel called
Then how tf did you end up the way you did? Did you fall for the second most memes engineering "discipline"? You were an me werent you? dear god...
you make youtube videos and shill them on Jow Forums. I dont think there is much more dirt beneath you.
you need to correct your stutter. you might be making a decent living for the phils, but you are fundamentally a parasite, and no girl that isn't poor is ever going to like you
stay out of my country, and please remain in yours
even if i were a dropout like you, which i'm not, my net worth would still be higher than yours, youtube boy.
he's actually right you know, haven't you ever read Basic Economics?
price control creates a shortage, whether that's supply or demand depends
>pay your employer to work!
What could go wrong?
I went to DigiPen and dropped out after a year. Self-taught myself everything I know now and then got a job. Currently am making $120k/year
Software doesn't count.
t. faggot who has never worked a day of manual labor in his life
good luck queer boy
the solution to unpaid internships is to make unpaid labor completely illegal, rather than to enforce price controls
price controls really are bad. slavery and indentured servitude are bad too. one is not an argument against the other
BTC is not private or fungible.
What use does a large corporate entity or institution have with a coin that can be analysed through chain analysis so that their competitors, foreign governments, or other bad actors can analyse all of their transactions data?
Information leaked includes relationships, supply chains, profit and loss information, accumulated wealth, and more.
For people serious about Business Monero is the answer. Data mining will be a serious issue for commercial deployments.
Graduating “on time” is a meme. There is no such thing. Motherfuckers crater their GPA by cramming 18+ credits a semester. Take as long as it takes to get a good GPA. Don’t fuck yourself out of grad school, don’t fuck yourself out of merit scholarships, really don’t fuck yourself out of internships. Maybe take that time to learn some shit YOU wanna learn.
most degrees have requirements on how quickly you have to finish the program. I remember for my bachelors you could only take an additional year. Any more time than that and you get booted.
Are you in the US? That doesn’t even make sense with transfer students and acrediting
how are these guys supposed to work if there are no jobs?
if I want to work for free, who are you to stop me?
JUST
You went to cal.poly didn't you. I'm glad I didn't get in debt required to go there.
>Projects are fun as hell also.
yea, must be hella exciting routing cables and shit, really so fun I would do it for free
The point of working is to make money so you can afford to live, not to work just because. By devaluing everyone's labor you're just making that even harder.
>Follow your le passion
It sounds nice but we can't have a society where everyone is just making YouTube videos and cross promoting each others blogs.
The point of work is to produce.
For the guy in the op, getting experience == getting paid $50 an hour to work. Minimum wage doesn't value that properly and disenfranchises these sort of people. Internships are a bad loophole that would be better served by simply removing the minimum wage and allowing individuals and unions to negotiate how they want to be paid, whether it be in dollars, gold, chocolate, housing, experience, or whatever.
>It sounds nice but we can't have a society where everyone is just making YouTube videos and cross promoting each others blogs.
This. What I hate about people pushing "follow your passions" bullshit is that they themselves are just gurus who barely add any real value to society and if everyone were to sure a "passion" like theirs nobody would do anything productive.
Just because you lucked out and shit worked for you it doesn't mean you have to male me believe that anyone can do it. Successful gurus are not common, yet they push the idea that anyone can be successful if they just follow their passions.
did my BS in Electrical engineering in 3 yrs
currently doing masters in information technology, will finish in 1.5 yrs
if you really love your field is amazing, there's so much to learn and develop right now with 5G NR and machine learning in general
>Young people dont know what they are good at or what they like. So they pick stuff they arent meant for.
You should've discovered your passion by the time you're in highschool. Otherwise, you're just an NPC that's choosing a career path revolving around money.
Yes, that shit is fun for some people.
>Is engineering a cucked field?
electrical engineer here
they give you table, pc and plans. Sit there 24/7 they will never give a rise. You will get even less that simple electrician.
Start fighting your way instantly. Always ask them "when I will get a rise", "oh so much work I've done, I guess you guys will have to pay me more". If your expectations are not fulfilled, leave. Go elsewhere. Do the same. Leave. When there is shortage of people, they will give you a rise. Fight your way to top.
It's most cucked field you will ever encounter, since major companies are almost mafia and only heads enjoy cash.
In these fields you have to change jobs and keep asking for more.
Sometimes they don't have a choice but to give you more.
I left desk long ago and enjoy climbing poles and fixing shit in substations. Some cash on the side doing home installations.
Fight your way, don't be a cuck.
There is no better feeling when a fucking head engineer comes to you and ask what value circuit breaker he should use for his new washing machine. fucking head engineer......
gotta shill the dream to delusional cucks who are willing to pay a monthly subscription fee of $99 to some faggot who earns his money by being a complete fraud
4.5 YEARS AND LITERALLY NO LIBERAL EDUCATION
THIS IS WHY ENGINEERS ARE AUTISTIC AF
Most of good paying engineering jobs are bureaucratic joke.
The only time you do any engineering is at entry level positions. As you climb up the corporate ladder, it becomes more about menial bureaucratic BS that a monkey can do. Its boring as hell but pays well.
Cool channel bro. Those other guys are overly angry.
wageslave for life
You misspelt ‘analysis’ on your channel, silly.
Engineering is god tier. Engineers on the other hand...
Make of it what you will.
Except he's right. I'm an engineering student and got a decent paying job at a software development. CompSci students are incompetent slugs.
That goes for most STEM fields, though. You'll find more autists and beta males than chads.
Yes it’s the ideal betacuck provider career
here's my engineer

how much xmr for her feet and brapper?
